Break out the bubbly – Scott Walker won in Wisconsin

Read  here at Fox.

So the Wisconsin Supreme Court said that the judge had no business interfering – gee whiz what a surprise and that the law can take effect.

Congrats to the entire state of Wisconsin and to Gov. Scott Walker, too!

Its a New Year but the same old battles

As an old year closes and a new one beckons, here’s the question before us all, a question that challenges us each annum. Do we boldly paddle ahead, no matter how small and unstable our vessel seems, into whatever awaits beyond the year’s final edge? Or do we desperately hold on or, worse, cower before the unknown? Do we rest on laurels or, instead, try to accomplish more, do more good, and brave (as a verb) new worlds?

For our part, conservatives made significant strides this year, but the civic waves are not yet sweet enough for the lasting health of this, our nation. Like Reepicheep, we conservatives have been conditioned, in this case by Ronald Reagan rather than a dryad, to believe we have a rendezvous with destiny. Nor should we forget that we serve not just a nation, but the One who created all nations and endowed us with the liberty to choose. We are at this year’s tail end. Unhand the tail, and reach for the next great task before us. Quin Hillyar/The American Spectator

Enjoy your weekend. This is 2 day a respite from the real work ahead and unlike TheOne, I don’t see too many vacations or golf outings in the coming years for us. The communist progressives (or as they now want to be called – the NoLabels) have gotten their entire body – not just a foot or 2 – in the door and they will not give up until they own the whole house. . . and senate, Supreme Court, every Department of __  fill in the blank and every regulatory agency that controls our lives.

(Of course we all know that for these next 2 years at least, they can’t own THE House.)

Conservatives have to resolve this weekend that in the coming year we make more calls, send more emails, blog more and post more, carry signs if need be and make more noise while we hold the Congress’ feet to the fire. Many of them still need to be reminded that their jobs are dependent on the will of The People; that Congress is a right-to-work place and they hold their jobs only at the pleasure and will of The People. If it takes more than an election cycle or 3, in the end, they can and will be fired if they fail to uphold the Constitution. They are on notice.

Every single one of us have to redouble our efforts this year.  TheOne and his OtherOne (aka Michelle) cannot be allowed another term of White House cocktail parties, in-house concerts and globe jetting vacations at our expense.

We made great strides in ’10 and we can’t let up now.

We have huge battles ahead with immigration, unemployment, unions busting state and federal budgets, internet censorship, EPA, FDA and Department of Ag regulations, energy concerns . . .

Roll up your sleeves on Monday morning and do not forget:

We are the patriots. We are the in the right, on the right and the Right-eous.

And don’t argue with me on that.

Happy New Year!

Newsweek and Bill Maher: America the Ignorant and Stupid

If America is ignorant, as Newsweek is claiming, then maybe this is an indictment of the government run education system that we have had in this nation for too many decades. Instead of blaming stupidity on the American people, maybe they should be pointing their elitist fingers at the liberal teachers union and the massive amount of money that we have thrown their way – and thrown away – for over 50 years. What do we have to show for the outrageous amounts that we have given to the Department of Education? An astronomical drop out rate (about 1.2 million students fail to graduate from high school each year) and falling numbers in comparison to other nations (in math scores internationally, only 4 countries have scores lower than ours and 23 nations score better than we do.)

And you know, doesn’t it just seem a little ignorant to call your own readers ignorant? I guess that’s why Newsweek was just sold for $1.

So to return to the beginning, Bill explains his stupid American comments:

Petition for a National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer

There is lots to see and read on this website. Please take the time to check it out.

Norman Rockwell

He said, “now I’m depressed.”

I ruined my friends night by explaining some realities – my realities – to him. After an hour on the phone he said, “Now I’m depressed. What are we supposed to do next?”

To begin with, you have to start thinking like they think.

I believe the first thing Obama will do, as I blogged last night and as Rush foretold today, is to push amnesty through. Just like the Stimulus bill, this bill has already been written. I think it was a promise, among many, that he made to those democrat congressmen and women to get their votes on health care. If they can give him health care, then ram amnesty through, they will have a custom built voting bloc and more importantly, Obama will have one in ’12.

I believe that if the right is able to win back the majority, in the House at least, Obama will have something to run against, just as Rush also foretold today. Right now, all Obama has is a rubber stamp on Capital Hill. That’s great to get his social changes in place but when he runs for re-election in ’12 what will he have to run against? Unless we get a really stellar conservative, and Good Lord, I hope we do, he has have the Congress to run against. It’s the Obama way – demonize something or someone. He will demonize the Republican majority in the Congress who held up his “transformation” of America.

But let’s don’t forget, Obama’s done the bulk of his transforming before Novemeber ’10. He had to do it because he knew that after November, he’d no longer have the majority to do it with. He knew this last year. He knew this after the election of ’08 when Democrats were swept in to office with him. He knew that this majority would only last until the next election because he knew that Americans would be outraged at his vision of transformation.

And he was right.

We are outraged.

Within the next few months or year, Justice Stevens will be retiring. That means another liberal Justice on the court. The very court that will be hearing the States cases against the federal government’s unConstitutional health care laws. Another domino that falls on the side of  the Marxists. How we overcome this one, I’m not sure. Perhaps repealing the law in Congress will be enough.

But if we don’t start thinking 2 or 3 steps ahead of these people, and prepare for the absolute worst, we will never reclaim this country. Another term of Obama will nail the coffin closed. We should not be depressed. We should put on our game faces and prepare for whatever they throw ahead of us. They cannot be allowed to ruin the nation.

We have Founder’s promises and future generation’s dreams that have to be protected.

Don your helmets and shields, Patriots. It’s time for the real battle.

I love this guy

He says everything I want to say, and so much better!

72% Favor Merry Christmas

Just something to think about today:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The constitution says “Congress shall make no law…” There is no reference to or restriction on  the individual states.

If the state of Utah decides to allow a nativity scene on their state house grounds, and there are a bunch of atheists who are offended (and I wish someone would explain to me how this offends or injures any one) and they appeal and lose at the state supreme court level, then it’s a done deal. The U.S. Supreme Court should refuse to hear a case like this because constitutionally, the men and women in black robes have no right to be involved.

But every Christmas we have to go through the same furor and fuss about who and what kind of holiday representation the government will allow on OUR real estate. And not only that, it becomes news when over 70% of Americans prefer “Merry Christmas” over other holiday neutral greetings.

This, from Rasmussen Reports is even more telling:

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans and 70% of adults not affiliated with either major political party like store signs that wish them a “Merry Christmas,” compared to just 58% of Democrats.
