Another call for a Muslim Cosby-like sit-com. Would they do an honor killing episode?

I actually thought that “Little Mosque on the Prairie” was a joke but it’s apparently a Canadian sit-com that’s been airing since ’07.  Those forward seeing Canucks have been ahead of us for that long!

Recently,  there’s been a call from Katie Couric and now Clarence Page (a Black journalist) is on board for the networks to do our own version of a muslim Cosby show. Page says that the muslim community in America has replaced the Black Americans as the lowest of the low in our society: since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Muslims have become the new “Negroes,” the new occupants of the bottom-rung scary-minority status long occupied by us African-Americans.

I’m not going to argue that Muslims are “the scary-minority”. It is what it is. Even fellow Black journalist/commentator Juan Williams has his share of Islamophobia.
But on the topic of a Cosby-type show for the average Muslim family living in America, here’s a take I wonder if any Hollywood writers would consider:
The beautiful Muslim actress, Afshan Azad was in an English courtroom because her 28 year old brother beat her. The 21 year old actress’ crime was that she had a Hindu boyfriend. Although she endured 3 hours of  being punched, strangled, and dragged by her hair by her brother, she still pleaded for the judge’s leniency during the sentencing hearing, and asked he not be jailed.
Not only did she endure this nightmare experience at the hands of her older brother but on other occasions she  was threatened and verbally abused by her parents. And all in the name of dishonoring her Muslim family. Interesting story at FoxNews.

Yes, this all happened in England but the same if not worse has been happening in America for a long time, and has largely gone unnoticed by the media here. I don’t think anyone has to wonder why the media wants to cover-up these atrocities. There are cases in Phoenix, in Texas and in New York of women and girls being beaten, murdered and beheaded that no one wants to talk about.
Oh, I can see this story line on a Cosby-like Muslim show: controlling your young daughter who is in love with an infidel. Or the question of living in a republic that conflicts with sharia law.
The Cosby Show was about 2 educated, professional parents raising a family. It just so happens they were a black family but their story and humor resonated across all races in America. How can a Muslim family sit-com do the same thing when the devout  must follow sharia law and that includes punishing daughters and wives who fall short of their horrendous laws?
I look at this pretty girls picture and wonder when it will be her turn to die. How soon before it happens to her?  And at the hands of the people who gave her life.
This is a story line that I don’t see any networks ever picking up.

A Christmas message from Bill Whittle

The ghost of Molly Norris

My blood is boiling. Tonight I read a farewell editorial in the Seattle newspaper to their cartoonist who has been forced into hiding.  This is a tepid and pathetic goodbye statement to a woman who lived in a nation where freedom of speech used to be sacred. Molly Norris was the cartoonist who declared a “Everyone draw Mohammad Day.”

The ghost of Molly Norris

The gifted artist is alive and well, thankfully. But on the insistence of top security specialists at the FBI, she is, as they put it, “going ghost”: moving, changing her name, and essentially wiping away her identity. She will no longer be publishing cartoons in our paper or in City Arts magazine, where she has been a regular contributor. She is, in effect, being put into a witness-protection program—except, as she notes, without the government picking up the tab.

My question is: why have none of  her liberal media colleagues spoken out about this? No one in the media has shown an iota of outrage at the fate of one of their own. But they are quick to tell us all that Islam is a religion of peace and we have to be tolerant and accepting of their traditions and religious constraints, even at the expense of our own freedoms.

When an American citizen is forced into hiding because a fatwa has been called by some Islamic cleric on the other side of the planet and all because she exercised her once protected freedom of speech, we are now living under a de facto form of Sharia, ourselves. It’s time we admitted this.

“We understand the absolute seriousness of a threat from an Al Qaeda inspired magazine and are attempting to do everything in our power to assist the individuals on that list to effectively protect themselves and change their behavior to make themselves less of a target,” David Gomez, the FBI’s assistant special agent in charge of counter-terrorism in Seattle, told the News.

We have to change our behavior to make ourselves “less of a target.” Is this not acquiescing to Sharia? If it’s not then I’m a Chinese astronaut.

Who among us is brave enough to put a crucifix in a jar of urine and apply for a federal grant to do so? In America and all Western nations, it takes no bravery to do this. Christians are the butt of every joke and the target of every obscenity because Christians don’t fight back. Christians are non-violent and those who act in the name of God in violent ways, are not Christians; they are criminals and they face justice in our courts. But Islamists are and must be violent because the Koran tells them to behave so. And if we call them out for what they are and for what they are doing, we are intolerant and Islamophobes. Even while they are smothering our God-given freedoms, we must sit by and hold our tongues.

Or worse yet, we are forced to change our identities, leave our families and “go ghost.” Who wants to end up like Theo Van Gogh or Daniel Pearl?

We’re hoping the religious bigots go into full and immediate remission, and we wish her the best.

I guess Molly can take solace in knowing that her colleagues “wish her the best” because that’s the best she is going to get from her liberal media friends and from the government that is supposed to protect our freedoms.

From me, and I hope somehow Molly knows,  I send outrage and prayers for an existence that has to be like a form of evil purgatory.

It wasn’t ‘rape’ rape, all over again

This is an astounding story.

I ask again where is the outrage from the left who constantly claim THEY are the protectors of the weak, the poor, the oppressed? Where is NOW? Where is the ACLU? Who is protecting our women and girls?

When will these democrat/marxist be properly exposed for the true oppressors that they are? They are the ones who are enabling this violence against women – in America, mind you – and families.

Christians arrested in Dearborn, cameras and equipment confiscated

I don’t know how this has turned out. The video was posted on July 6th and a lot could be different now. On this website that is associated with this video, the blogger says that today (7-25-10) the mayor of Dearborn was going to be on the radio show and “tell his side of the story.”

Dearborn, MI has the highest population of Muslims in the entire United States.

The radio show is being broadcast now live here. This show started at 3pm PST.

The Dearborn Christians website is here.

Taliban Stimulus Plan Offers Cash for Kills

From the TimesOnline:

“It’s a lot of money for us. We don’t care if we kill foreigners: their blood allows us to feed our families and the more we kill, the more we weaken them. Of course we are going to celebrate this,” said a [Taliban] commander from Ghazni province.

TALIBAN rebels are earning a bounty of up to 200,000 Pakistani rupees (£1,660 [or $2400 USD]) for each Nato soldier they kill, according to insurgent commanders.

The money is said to come from protection rackets, taxes imposed on opium farmers, donors in the Gulf states who channel money through Dubai and from the senior Taliban leadership in Pakistan.

So far this year 213 Nato soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan, including 41 British troops, bringing the potential rewards for the Taliban to £350,000.

from thepublicinterest.freedomblogging.com

Taliban commanders said the bounty had more than doubled since the beginning of last year.

The insurgents, who employ “hit and run” tactics against foot patrols and convoys, use paid informants, media reports and the local population to confirm the deaths of Nato soldiers.

“We can’t lie to our commanders: they can check to see if there was a fight in that area. We get money if we capture equipment too. A gun can fetch $1,000 [£690],” said a commander from Khost province who controls about 60 fighters.

The money usually reaches commanders via the traditional hawala transfer system found in many Muslim countries. They then share it among their men and sometimes celebrate with a feast.

Most Taliban commanders deny any financial motive. In a dozen interviews over the past four months, low and midlevel Taliban commanders from provinces where the insurgency is fierce have set out their conditions for ending the violence.

“We are not fighting for money or power. We are fighting to end government corruption, to rid this country of foreign troops, and we want a return to sharia law,” said a Kandahar commander.

How do you deal with people who live like this?

(Farah Abdi Warsameh, Somalia) Found guilty of adultery, Mohamed Abukar Ibrahim, 48, is stoned to death, buried up to his chest.

(Farah Abdi Warsameh, Somalia) The stoning was carried out by an Islamic Insurgent group in Afgoye, Somalia

(Farah Abdi Warsameh, Somalia) The unmarried woman involved was given a more lenient punishment.

(Farah Abdi Warsameh, Somalia) Under sharia (Islamic) law the woman kept her life but was brutally flogged. I don't see a flogging here. I see another stoning.
