America Rising with no sympathy for Obama

From BigJournalism.com:

The left media and the Obama regime will try to spin this every way they can to explain away why Brown won. The only thing they will get right is that the voters are angry, but they will still be off the mark for the reason they are angry.

Obama says and the media accepts that the American people are mad at 8 years of George Bush and are STILL taking it out at the polls. Oh com’on. Accepting that there is some truth to that back in November ’08, that excuse won’t sell this year.

“Voters are pretty tired of the blame game,” said longtime Democratic strategist Steve Hildebrand, a top aide on Obama’s presidential campaign. “What a stupid strategy that was.”

There is a big segment of the Obama voters (I won’t call them democrats) who are angry at being taken for a ride. Those voters are angry at the severe left turn that party has taken. How else do you explain the recent increase in voters who identify as independents? These aren’t voters who have left the republican party.

The media (and Frank Rich) will try and spin Obama as a victim of big, greedy interests  who have him pinned down. This is a new tack: the president as a victim we should feel sympathy for? I can’t think of anything that would make the electorate angrier – expecting US to feel sorry for a predicament that he  and his supporters are trying to sell us?  That’s not going to play well, either.

With so many Americans out of work or in financial straits, it’s hard to feel sorry for a guy who pays little attention to a would-be Christmas day bomber between rounds of golf.

How many parents were wondering how they could provide Christmas for their children while their president slept in a $4000/night estate in Hawaii?

Sympathy is a tactic that won’t work. Don’t even try to play that card, Mr.Obama.

The secret to Scott Brown’s success

It was one of the prettiest morning home drives I’ve driven in months. It’s been raining here for days and this morning the clouds had broken a bit and were on the ground. When I got to the top of the summit and could see into the valley, it was a blanket of clouds. Here and there I could see little hilltops above the clouds, but the whole valley was buried under cloud. The sun hadn’t completely risen but enough to make the sky bright. It was a really breathtaking view which really has nothing to do with this blog: but I wanted to share.

And I was listening to a replay of Wednesday’s Brian & the Judge on Fox Radio. It was a post-election show and they were encouraging callers from Massachusetts to ring in with comments and opinions. While I listened to Brian describe Scott Brown walking out of the MLK breakfast, his hands in his pockets and minus an enterage of handlers, it occurred to my just why Brown walked away with the race.

Do you remember these videos?

Scott parked his truck and walked the parking lot, shaking hands with supporters and Coakley sign carriers, alike. Martha on the other hand, was driven to the front door in a black sedan and was whisked into the building without even being seen by her supporters.

How about this clip?

Scott is so sincere, it’s almost heartbreaking. True sincerity is always easy to spot. He speaks his truth and it comes from the heart. That’s hard to fake.

Coming home on this beautiful morning, I had an epiphany. Scott Brown won this election because he struck the same chord with voters that Sarah Palin has. Honesty, sincerity, humility, self-effacing humor, committment to values, genuine civility with even his opponents, class – this is the kind of person we all wish we could to send to Washington. But since we can’t, we all wanted to be part of sending Brown there.

Because of Sarah Palin, I think we will be seeing more like Scott Brown spring up this year. Nothing could be better for our country, than that.

Okay, we get it already. WE ARE RACISTS and TERRORISTS for disagreeing.

Julian Bond

by Tonia Moxley

RADFORD — In a speech Wednesday, NAACP Chairman Julian Bond called on defenders of civil rights to support the country’s first black president as he faces what is expected to be tough second year in office.

Bond’s remarks at Radford University’s fourth annual celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday came a day after the Democratic Party lost the late Ted Kennedy’s Massachusetts Senate seat to Republican Scott Brown, and with it, the party’s filibuster-proof majority.

The election puts Obama’s health care overhaul in jeopardy and has caused speculation that public opinion may be turning against the president.

While “black faces in high places” give reason for hope, Bond, the 70-year-old founder of the storied Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, argued that “racism is alive and well for every nonwhite American, including the president.”

Obama’s historic election has ironically caused complacency among some civil rights supporters, who see it is a sign that racism in America is dead.

But that same election has energized “the Taliban wing” of the Republican Party, Bond said, from anti-government groups such as the “birthers,” who challenge Obama’s citizenship, to “tea party” members who call for the dismantling of much of the federal government.

Bond cited a report from the Southern Poverty Law Center that found “the number of hate groups operating in the United States continued to rise in 2008 and has grown by 54 percent since 2000 — an increase fueled last year by immigration fears, a failing economy and the successful campaign of Barack Obama.”

While the recession has hurt all Americans, blacks still suffer more than their white counterparts. Today the unemployment rate for blacks stands at 15.7 percent, compared with 9.5 percent among whites, Bond said.

Infant mortality and murder rates are up in black communities across the country, Bond said. Black homeownership is declining rapidly, and with it, the wealth of the black middle class.

“This didn’t happen by accident,” Bond said.

He accused mortgage lenders of targeting black neighborhoods with high-interest subprime loans and pointed to discrimination suits recently filed by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People against some of the country’s largest banking firms. Bond has led the NAACP for 11 years.

Obama “is paying a high price today for not solving in one year the problems it took eight years to create,” Bond said. “He needs time and support.”

Bond drew parallels between the civil rights movement and Obama’s battles for reform. He called for a return to the values of the struggle against segregation: “Litigate. Organize. Mobilize. Coalition,” Bond said.

“King did not march alone.”

Let’s start an office pool – what’ll be the left’s new cause?

Democrats need an accomplishment. And Democratic activists and voters need a new cause…

I love this line from the Washington Post because it’s all too true. The hallmark of the marxist progressive movement is all about “causes”.

In my life time it was the Viet Nam war, then civil rights, and women’s rights with the sub-cause abortion rights. These causes (for the exception of abortion) have all but evaporated and so they glommed onto health care reform and the green cause, aka global warming climate change.

Scott Brown has murdered health care, all alone and premeditated. Just ask Chris “leg tingler” Matthews:

But look! Leaked emails, skeptical scientists coming out of the closets and Al Gore hiding in one, have debunked that so-called cause. So down the shitter goes the green cause and with it, cap and trade.

What’s the next cause? We need to be a step ahead of them. I call immigration the next big marxist progressive movement.

What say you? (Oh NO, Shoot me. I’m channeling Bill O’Reilly!)

Mass. Senate Race: NBC News Cries Racism | The FOX Nation

New racist stereo type: You own a pickup, you’re a racist.

These people will never admit that there is actually an ideology break between this president and congress and the American people that has nothing, whatsoever, to do with race. But now even New Englanders are redneck, pickup driving, gun toting race haters.

My God. Will it ever end with these jerks? Will they ever get it?

A novel cause for the democrats

Washington can take this advice from the Washington Post:

If there is a lesson in the Massachusetts vote, it is this: pass a bill. The nation needs reform. Democrats need an accomplishment. And Democratic activists and voters need a new cause: fixing reform, not abandoning it.

Or this advice from the voters:

If it’s about just passing a bill and showing an accomplishment, even if it’s wrong and goes contrary to what the American people want, then by all means do it. But buff up your resumes because you will be looking for jobs after November.

How many more elections do you need to watch before you hear the voice of the people? They spoke very clearly and very loudly in Massachusetts. We don’t want this health care bill. We don’t want anything crammed down our throats. We don’t believe that you know what’s best for us. And we are sure sick of how you are wrecklessly spending money you don’t even have.

If democratic activists need a new cause, how about this one: REPRESENT THE PEOPLE WHO ELECTED YOU AND LISTEN TO WHAT THEY ARE SAYING!

Who is John Galt?

Answer: Scott Brown.

In the words of Charles Krauthammer – and I paraphrase –  Brown is the man who made a national campaign out of this MA senatorial race by telling everyone that he was the one who could stop the health care machine in Washington.

John Galt- the man with the secret to stop the world’s machine.
