Case in point: In the current defense bill, it’s not enough that they are trying to confer amnesty on illegal minors (the DREAM Act), and to do away with the “Don’t ask – Don’t tell” but now Roland Burris (R-Ill) wants to allow abortion on demand at all military hospitals overseas.
The Burris proposal would undo restrictions put in place by congressional Republicans during the Clinton administration. That policy restricted abortions at military hospitals to cases of rape, incest or when the woman’s life is threatened.
Sometimes I think that we really don’t have to do anything but sit back, wait long enough and then watch these liberals blow themselves up.
What will be interesting to see are the “other” names that will come out when this ugly mess is brought to the sunlight: names like Theresa Heinz and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.
Former Maryland Lt. Governor Townsend is on the ACORN advisory council which also include John Podesta, (head of the Center for American Progress – left wing liberal group and part of the former Clinton administration) and Andy Stern (president of the SEIU).
The alphabet soup connections have just begun: ACORN >SEIU > CAP > and on it will go.
And this now breaking: 345-75 The House voted to defund ACORN. I hope those 75 democrats can explain to their constituents why they were willing to dump more of OUR tax dollars into this organization. It’s obvious that their allegiance is not to the citizens of their districts but to scandal ridden and corrupt organization. That being the case, the 2010 election should be an easy decision for those voters.
In the words of that great senate statesman Roland Burris when chased down by Griff Jenkins and asked why he was one of 7 in the senate who voted against defunding: I voted for ACORN.
“Brace yourselves, because the war with Muslims has just begun,” 31-year-old Faisal Shahzad told a federal judge. “Consider me the first droplet of the blood that will follow.”
