Putting Fox in the crosshairs is really alienating voters

Red Eye on Fox at 3:00 am has more viewers than CNN has at 8:00 pm. The top 13 cable news shows are all – ALL – on Fox. But the president wants to take on Fox? There is a White House taxpayer funded website actually devoted to debunking Fox.

Sure. Take on Fox. And while you’re at it, increase their ratings, increase their viewership.

But here’s something to note: Over 75% of Fox employees identify as liberal. Do you get that news, all of you Fox haters and Obama-maniacs? I will grant you that is less by about 15%, than those who work for MSNBC, but still it’s a respectable majority. And I’m not making those numbers up, I just can’t find the source that I read them at. (If someone else can, I’d appreciate the source information.)

Anyone who watches Fox knows who the talking head liberals are: Geraldo, Greta, Shep, to name a few.  And in all honesty, I think Chris Wallace (the famed Sunday host who was snubbed last month and called the Obamatrons a “bunch of cry babies”) is a closet liberal. But when it’s hard to tell, then the journalist is doing  his job right.

What the Obamatrons are ignoring are the viewers. Those folks who actually do vote. By ignoring and deriding Fox, they are actually ignoring and deriding the Fox News watcher. This is the guy who said he wanted to be president to ALL Americans but he’s not acting like that to the of the millions of Fox viewers. He is telling millions of us that he doesn’t care about us or our vote. He’s punishing us by punishing Fox and we’ll see how that works out for him and his party in the next 2 elections.

From Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters:

Update: New York Times media analyst Brian Stelter wrote about this strategy late Sunday evening…

“Instead of governing, the White House continues to be in campaign mode, and Fox News is the target of their attack mentality,” Michael Clemente, the channel’s senior vice president for news, said in a statement on Sunday. “Perhaps the energy would be better spent on the critical issues that voters are worried about.”

Fox’s senior vice president for programming, Bill Shine, says of the criticism from the White House, “Every time they do it, our ratings go up.” Mr. Obama’s first year is on track to be the Fox News Channel’s highest rated.

One Fox executive said that the jabs by the White House could solidify the network’s audience base and recalled that Mr. Ailes had remarked internally: “Don’t pick a fight with people who like to fight.” The executive asked not to be named while discussing internal conversations.

Olberman wants all the dirt on Beck

Keith Olberman

H/T to Vicki at Frugal Cafe Blog.

I copied and pasted this because no, I am not going to link anyone to DailyKos to read this:

Find everything you can about Glenn Beck,  Stu Burguiere, and Roger Ailes ….

Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes’ power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony “truce” push).

This becomes necessary after this in order to prove various cliches about goose and gander, and to remind everybody to walk softly and carry a big popsicle, and most particularly to save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.

I keep wondering if somewhere somebody named Ollie Garhey thinks he’s in charge now. Or, even more entertainingly and societally satisfying, if somebody named Ali Garhi does.

Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here.

Oh please. Unbelievable that because Glenn Beck might be “going after” Cass Sunstein next, Olberman is going to make Beck a target? Can Olberman be more transparent in his allegiance to the Obama administration and all his minions? Keith’s starstruck love-from-afar affair with Obama is almost kinky. Or borders on sick. What was it you said about those psychiatrists preparing to write out prescriptions, Keith? I think maybe you’re suffering from a little obsession, yourself.

Now to be serious, nothing that Beck said about the art work on New York City landmarks was incorrect and even Olberman didn’t dispute that. He mocked and ridiculed Beck but he didn’t dispute anything Beck pointed out.

Diego Rivera was a communist. That’s a fact. His mural for Rockefeller, Man at the Crossroads, was a communist statement, another fact. The mural is full of lots of communist symbols and faces, as Beck pointed out. Trotsky’s face was in it, as well as Lenin’s. This was Diego’s vision of communism versus capitalism. The subjects on the right are all communist icons and represent the communist vision of the future. By contrast, the left side of the mural represents the capitalist elite, the Wall Street society. To Diego, the left of the mural represented the evil, dark side of humanity (capitalism) while the right with the face of Lenin, represents the communist ideal of social justice.

I studied the guy in college.

I don’t remember ever hearing or reading anywhere that Rockefeller was a communist however, and Beck does infer that in his show.

So anyway, what this all boils down to is Olberman is going after Beck, et al because Beck was instrumental in the, likely forced, resignation of a communist from the Obama administration. No one at MSNBC or anyother news outlet cared or wanted to besmirch the image of their messiah and they were eclipsed by some internet bloggers, Glenn Beck and Fox News. The Keith Olberman types just can’t stand that they are now being shown for the lazy, hangers-on to the Great One that they are.

I mean seriously, Olberman is so lazy, he’s enlisting DailyKos readers to dig up dirt on Beck, Ailes and Burguiere.  He won’t even do his own dirty work, if there IS any dirty work to be done. I’d be surprised if they find anything noteworthy about any of those men.

But this is all so pathetic.

It’s hell when the curtain is pulled back and you are shown for what you really are: a bunch of pathetic Obama groupies.
