You can leave. Really. We won’t stop you.

We really don’t need California.

  • Oranges can be grown in the southwest and southeast. My relatives grow them on their patios in Phoenix.
  • They can keep Disneyland. We have DisneyWorld and several of our states have 6 Flags. And hey! we have DOLLYWOOD!
  • Without the Socialist Republic of California, we still have plenty of beaches.
  • They can have Yosemite. We’ll still have Yellowstone and Glacier and lots of other great parks.
  • They can keep the 9th circuit. Those justices are goofy as hell!
  • Screw their golf courses. There are primo courses all over America and especially in Michigan.
  • Make the entertainment industry stay in Hollywood. We still have NYC (for the time being, that is. Trouble is they have Bloomberg and probably, Weiner next.)
  • We need border patrols because I’m sick and tired of them moving away from the government they hate and then make my states (AZ and NV) just like what they left.
  • We’ll be glad to take their goldfish, hamsters, dogs and cats.
  • They can keep their foreskins. Most of us don’t want our own, let alone theirs.
  • We have lots of room for all the refugee Conservatives and we’ll welcome them with open arms!

You have anything to add that I’ve forgotten, be my by guest adding in the comments.

Ben Stein on Bloomberg’s life saving endeavors or not

I am endlessly amazed at how backwards we humans get things in our lives. Just let me give you two very basic examples, one of which is a crime against humanity.

I keep reading in the New York Times that Mayor Bloomberg, a billionaire health nut, is on a campaign against having too much salt in foods in New York City restaurants. His belief is that New Yorkers and visitors shorten their life spans by eating too much salt and therefore raising their blood pressure in a dangerous way. If he took control over the salt content in New York restaurants, he could save a few dozen lives per year, he believes.

But, wait a moment. I also read in the New York Times that New York City is one of the abortion capitals of the nation, with a much higher rate of abortion than most other parts of the nation. And Mayor Bloomberg is a great fan of “…a woman’s right to choose…” to abort her baby.

As I calculate it in a rough way, New York City has about 8 million persons living there, or about (very roughly) 3 per cent of the nation’s population. And New York has a much higher abortion rate than the rest of the nation. So it is possible that New Yorkers have about 50,000 abortions per year, or maybe a lot more.

That is 50,000 killings of totally innocent children every year. Does Mayor Bloomberg think that his anti-salt campaign means much compared with that number? If he wants to save lives, why doesn’t he throw his tiny weight and his huge purse behind right to life? That’s a truly life-saving act.

From Ben Stein/The American Spectator

Isn’t there some noise out there that this idiot Bloomberg is thinking of a presidential run in ’12? He wouldn’t stand a chance so he needs to forget that idea. Lord knows that he has nothing of importance in New York to worry about so he’s down here in Arizona investigating us!

And some more good stuff I read this morning:

Daniel Halper writes in today’s Weekly Standard that Rep. Peter King (R-NY) is refusing to expand his investigative committee to include neo-Nazi and other extremist organizations in America because he believes that al Qaeda presents the clearest and most dangerous threat to national security.  According to King: “Pursuant to our mandate, the Committee will continue to examine the threat of Islamic radicalization, and I will not allow political correctness to obscure a real and dangerous threat to the safety and security of the citizens of the United States.”

samiam60 has a great blog including Robin of Berkeley (from American Thinker) on why so many liberals hate Sarah Palin.

Bob Mack has a touching blog from last night about the poor – no pathetic – medical care our vets are receiving.

Victor Davis Hanson at Pajamas Media writes on the consequences of the Egpytian chaos : “I think unfortunately we may go the 1940s “we can work with Mao”/1970s “no inordinate fear of communism”/2000s “jihad can mean a personal struggle” route, where liberals believe that totalitarian nationalists somehow admire the American Revolution and our lack of a colonial heritage, and, as closet moderates, wish to work with us. That translates into a backdoor courtship with the Muslim Brotherhood…”

Work slow-down to protest NYC budget cuts? Someone is saying yes.

Two people are dead and they want people to join their union? They want people to be sympathetic to their cause?

This is disgraceful! And could be criminal.

New York’s Strongest used a variety of tactics to drag out the plowing process — and pad overtime checks. . .

Who says Obama doesn’t keep his promises?

He can be forgiven, I guess for not keeping this promise:

“And I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.” [Emphasis added]

But  Mallory Factor recently provided a valuable public service in finding two promises from his 2008 campaign that President Obama has managed to keep. One was “Date Night,” a pledge that if elected he would take his wife Michelle out for a date in New York City, which he did at great taxpayer expense for the Air Force One trip and for blanket Secret Service coverage, greatly worsening city traffic jams. The other was his pledge to get his girls a dog, which he did in acquiring Bo, a Portuguese water dog.

Mayor Bloomberg blasts Obama over new bank tax scheme

NYC’s Mayor Bloomberg reacting to Obama’s “Financial Crisis Responsiblity Tax Fee” against banks:

If you want to see what happens to a city when their major industry fails, just take a look at Detroit,” said Bloomberg last week publicly about the bank proposal.

And we’ve all see what happened to Detroit…

The government’s transparent double standard

As Pamela Geller writes at American Thinker, the health care bill has been kept secret from the American people, designed by unknown communists and written behind locked doors but the president is now opening up all kinds of classified information to our enemies.

Isn’t this considered aiding and abetting the enemy? Does that not qualify as a treasonous act?

But it’s not just this new executive order that was signed between golf and tennis in Hawaii, the fact that we are trying terrorists in NYC, as though these guys were caught smoking in an airplane restroom, will mean that all kinds of secrets will have to be introduced in that courtroom. We are going to afford these terrorists all the benefits of the American judicial system and at the same time, provide their defense and the entire world, all our secrets. And the other side of the coin is that a lot of the information we did glean from these guys will not be allowed in court.

The government is affording these men all the rights of being American citizens (which they are not) and at the same time, keeping this health care bill a complete secret from those of us who really ARE American citizens. This government is picking and choosing what information will be available and to whom it will be available.  Foreign criminals are getting secret information but the rest of us are not allowed to see and read what congress is planning to do to our very lives.

After all the promises of a historically transparent administration, C-Span is denied access to all  health care negotiations.  Our records will no longer be our own, we will no longer be allowed our own privacy, our secrets will be owned by the government and at the same time, we cannot know what they are doing and how they plan to do it.  Furthermore, I’m not hearing an answer to where all the transparency is.

Terrorists, at least at this point in time, cannot vote. Letting them in on everything is not dangerous to the power structure in Washington. But including the actual voting citizens in the behind the scenes, back-slapping and outright bribery that is going on as part of the negotiations on health care, will endanger the ruling party come election time and they know it. By the time the bill can actually be seen by the people, it will be law and the democrats will be spinning like tops to try and make it be something it isn’t. They will do and say whatever they have to in order to protect their seats in November.

The transparency in this government is for our enemies only. The rest of us are being  kept deliberately in the dark.

Breaking now: Andrew Breitbart subpoened

Apparently, Andrew is in the air now, on his way to NYC following a subpoena from a grand jury.

I’m sure there will be lots more to come.

Update: Andrew will neither confirm or deny a subpoena, on the advice of his attorney. He’s live on talk radio (America Right on Sirius) at this moment.

He says that Eric Holder and this administration “will have so much to deal with” regarding more information that will be forthcoming from his bench.

Personally, I can’t wait for his BigJournalism to break wide open next month!

Someone needs to thank them

In September Najibullah Zazi was arrested for what is alleged as terrorist plots on New York sites. His plan was to use weapons of mass destruction on “persons and buildings in New York City” and a Brooklyn grand jury brought down an indictment. There is now evidence to suggest that this bus driver had contacts with a very high Al-Qaida official.

Has the White House or the Attorney General said anything positive about those involved in breaking this case? Have there been any pats on the backs from TheOne’s administration or TheOne himself, to those who are working to keep our country safe?

Holder is too busy trying to take down the CIA to acknowledge what appears to be a job well done by our intelligence and law enforcement communities. TheOne is too busy talking about how our cops “act stupidly” and not paying any attention to the bludgeoning of Derrion Albert in Chicago, to say a few words about what a debt we owe these hardworking cops who do their best to keep us safe.

I’m going to be constantly amazed and deeply appreciative at what law enforcement is doing to protect us, especially when I consider the onslaught they are suffering from Holder and the Obama administration.

It’s just disgraceful!

Some of the deepest roots to the great ACORN scam

In the 20th century, Columbia University had produced or hosted some interesting people and organizations.

In an older blog, I wrote about The Frankfurt School which, in 1934 had to relocate from Frankfurt, Germany to Columbia University in New York City, due to the rise of Nazism and Hitler.

The Frankfurt School was formed by a group of Jewish academicians who were followers of Marx. They refashioned Marx’ theories of revolution and married it to the psychological practices of Freud. They stayed at Columbia until the early 1950’s and all but Herbert Marcuse, returned to Europe. He stayed and taught political theory at Columbia, Harvard and Brandeis Universities until 1965. He finished his teaching career at UC San Diego. A self avowed Marxist, he was a popular speaker at student descendent gatherings in the 1960’s and is well known as the father of the New Left.

Add to the list of the illustrious from Columbia, Richard Cloward and Frances Piven. Anyone who listens to Glenn Beck has heard of  these two sociologists who developed the Cloward-Piven Strategy, a way to collapse capitalism by overloading the system (government bureaucracy) and pushing it into economic collapse. This was called the “crisis strategy” (remember Rahm’s great line- never let a good crisis go to waste?) and charged that the wealthy were using welfare to oppress the poor. Cloward and Priven said that activists should work to create chaos and overload the welfare system by increasing its rolls. This would cause a political and financial collapse and then the poor would rise up in revolt.

By showing the inadequacy of the welfare state – which could never withstand the onslaught of numbers who inundated it’s offices – many activists looked to Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals as a “primer.”

“Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules,” Alinsky wrote in his 1972 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judaeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system’s failure to “live up” to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist “rule book” with a socialist one. ”

The great con was this: disguise the movement with the false front of helping the poor, enlist them as the front line soldiers (or useful idiots) to overwhelm the system with demands that the government could in no way meet which would then throw the system (government) into crisis. Once the government crashed (financially and politically) it was fertile ground for revolution and socialist takeover.

It worked in New York City.

“By the 1970’s, one person was on the welfare rolls… for every two working in the city’s private economy. The city declared bankruptcy in 1975 and nearly took the entire state with it.” The Cloward-Priven theory had been proven. Although virtually unknown to most Americans, Rudy Giuliani knew who and what they were and called them out by name. In a speech in 1997 he said “This wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t an atmospheric thing, it wasn’t supernatural. This is the result of policies and programs designed to have the maximum number of people on welfare.”

Returning to Chicago in 1992 after law school, Barack Obama, 30, headed Project Vote! raising Black voter turnout from an all-time low to an all-time high for the November election. How? By training 700 deputy registrars, recruiting Black PR firms and radio stations to spread the slogan, “It’s a power thing,” raising funds from unions, and raising the spirits of Black people devastated by the death of Mayor Harold Washington, who, as one observer noted, were “eager to have a say again, to feel they counted.” “I think it’s fair to say we reinvigorated a slumbering constituency,” said Obama. (San Francisco Bay View National Black Newspaper. 2/29/2009)

But where it gets most interesting and relative to today is how ACORN and Project Vote developed from and used the strategies of Cloward-Piven. ACORN and it’s secondary organization, Project Vote campaigned for the Motor-Voter law, which Bill Clinton signed into law in 1993. The Motor-Voter law, again, overwhelmed the system by massive registration drives which resulted in voter fraud (again, how many states have begun indicting ACORN?), intimidation (the Black Panthers in PA) and charges of racism.

“Cloward-Piven devotees now seek to overwhelm the nation’s understaffed and poorly policed electoral system. Their tactics set the stage for the Florida recount crisis of 2000 and have introduced a level of fear, tension and foreboding to U.S. elections heretofore encountered mainly in Third World countries.”

As evidenced by the photo above, in 1992, Barack Obama was an organizer for Project Vote.
