Some one put Harry in a home

Oh my God, Harry Reid really does appear to be losing his mind.

  • “Republicans don’t want women to have cancer screenings.” Of course Harry, Republicans want to kill everyone, including those women in their own party.
  • “All those folks that wanted to go on vacation, won’t be able to. Yellowstone will be closed.”  You’re right Harry, they can’t afford the GAS!!!!
  • “There is no federal money used for abortions.” Oh really? And who pays the rent and utilities on those Planned Parenthood clinics? Last I knew it was taxpayers.

And that was just as much as I could stand to watch.

It’s hard to believe that anyone buys his bullshit but obviously he won the last election, so someone in Nevada does. And do Americans understand that he is standing before them and telling them that the dems are holding up this bill because they are worried about cancer screenings? Seriously? Does anyone really believe this?

They are holding up this bill to make the Republicans look like the bad guys. Plain and simple. Schumer has said it. Pelosi has said it and Harry has said it – when he’s been in his right mind.  And guess what? It won’t sell and it won’t sell next year. They hold up this bill, that pays our soldiers through the year, they will pay politically for it next year – not the Republicans.

Cowboy poetry? There’s a political ad dying to be made…

Quotes of the day – Mark Steyn, Mark Levin and Harry Reid

And definately read his entire blog, it’s excellent:

What do you need to write cowboy poetry? Words like “tunbleweed” and “chaps.” Also, torchees, spondees and dactyls. Pencil and paper. Total cost: 79 cents. Maybe you and a half dozen other cowboy poets like to book the back room at the local bar once a month for an evening of cowboy poetry and a few beers. Total cost: couple hundred dollars. Maybe folks get word and figure you should get a bigger room and invite the pubic and charge a three-dollar admission. Why does any of this require national subsidies managed by bureaucracy thousands of miles away?

Well because these days, what doesn’t? Once upon a time, the cowboy embodied the rugged individualism of the frontier. In Harry Reid’s world, he embodies dependency without end. To “preserve”  the “traditionn,” it is necessary to invert everything the tradition represents. From true grit to federally funded grit. Thus America, bouncing along in the Dead Wood Stage of history.

Whipcrack-away, whipcrack-away, whipcrack-away! Mark Steyn

There’s been whispered speculation, in Nevada and now outside, that Harry’s losing it in his old age. I think this is proof someone is on to something:

And this is good for laughs, even if like me, you’ve heard Mark on this already:

Once again, Reid has to mess with something that actually works

Although I was born, raised and married in Wyoming, I’ll always consider Nevada home. My memories of Nevada are all good and my children got a first class education there as well as their own wonderful memories. We lived in a rural county, Nye and like many of the rural counties, prostitution is legal. It is deliberately illegal in Washoe (Reno) and Clark (Las Vegas) counties so as to not offend the tourist trade. But one need only drive 55 miles northwest on a rural highway, into Nye County and you can find 3 brothels and another 3 or 4 before you reach the county seat in Tonopah.

The Chicken Ranch on the outskirts of Pahrump, NV

Aside from legal prostitution at places like the Chicken Ranch, Nye county is also famous for Area 51, the development of the Stealth bomber and the home of the great UFO hunter and radio personality, Art Bell.

The citizens of each county vote to legalize prostitution or not. And they reap a great deal of tax revenue from this legal business, too. Brothels are not within the city or town limits. You have to actually search them out. No one’s child sees them from a school bus, as Harry dipshit Reid has claimed. Most of us forget they even exist until we have relatives come visit and want a trip out there to see one.

The brothel owners ( I will not call them pimps) keep a very low profile in their communities, basically to avoid offending the townsfolk. Their girls are not allowed off the property for “out dates” with clients. They are taken to town for doctor appointments (every month for HIV, STD and other testing and last I knew, there has never been one case of HIV originating from the brothels) and to grocery stores for whatever they need, by a brothel employee. They do not “walk the streets”. Their business stays within the brothel compound. The girls have to have an out of county address. Most work 2 to 3 weeks and then go home for a week (most of them live in Las Vegas, where most of them have boyfriends.)

They pay for a privilege license – more tax revenue for the county and it can be taken away from them or the brothel owner, for breaking any laws that pertain to the business.

Prostitution is legal. It’s regulated. It makes the counties and state a lot of money. And the people of those counties want it. They voted to allow it. Now here comes Harry the dickhead Reid telling Nevadans that it’s time to “have an adult conversation” about this taxed and highly regulated industry. And maybe it’s time to outlaw it. (I’m already sick of hearing “adult conversation” as I was sick of hearing “transparency.”)

Harry – mind your business in DC:  keeping us broke and over extended and in massive debt, okay? Leave alone a business that’s working well and lawfully within the state. I wish this guy would just shut the hell up! Not everyone is Nevada is a Mormon. Not all of them are stupid enough to give up lots and lots of tax dollars from businesses that live on the edge of town and require a map to find. For cryin’ out loud – the voters in these counties are adults and they know what they want.

Leave them alone. Leave the counties alone. Mind your own misguided business and stay out of Nevada!

Micheal Medved: New and younger faces in the GOP

from TownHall.com

It’s true that the November elections brought prominent winners in both parties, but the contrast between Democratic and Republican victors is highly revealing.

The biggest Democratic success stories involved re-elected Sens. Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid, and new California governor Jerry Brown – all age 70 or above! The GOP, meanwhile, hailed breakthrough victories for 39-year-old Sen. Marco Rubio in Florida, 43-year old Governor Scott Walker in Wisconsin, 38-year old Governor Nikki Haley in South Carolina, 42-year- old Sen. Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire, 47-year-old Sen. Rand Paul in Kentucky, and many other youthful candidates bringing fresh, conservative perspectives to high office. Moreover, with Hillary Clinton ruling out a future presidential race, Joe Biden reaching age 74 by 2016, and John Edwards utterly unthinkable, what younger generation Democratic star could plausibly succeed Obama?

The Democrats, in other words, have become a party of shop-worn retreads while the GOP bench is full of next-generation leaders of potential national stature, including Governors Chris Christie of New Jersey, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, Rick Perry of Texas, Mitch Daniels of Indiana, Senators John Thune of South Dakota, Scott Brown of Massachusetts, and many more.

Looking toward the future, the rising stars of the GOP not only look more vibrant and dynamic than the Pelosi/Reid Democrats, they also count as increasingly diverse.

After the recent elections, skeptics can no longer deride the GOP as an all-white party of grumpy old men. Marco Rubio, 39, became the new Senator from Florida while fellow Latino Republicans Bryan Sandoval in Nevada and Susana Martinez in New Mexico became the nation’s only two Hispanic Governors. Jaime Herrera, age 31, captured a Democratic Congressional seat in Washington State, while Raul Labrador did the same in Idaho. Two more Hispanic Republicans– Bill Flores and Quico Canseco—knocked out incumbent Democrats in Texas. In South Carolina, Indian-American Nikki Haley won for Governor while black conservative Tim Scott beat Strom Thurmond’s son (among others) for a Congressional seat. Alan West, an African-American Iraq War hero, trounced an incumbent white Florida Democrat.

In the new Republican House of Representatives, eight members of the GOP majority will proudly qualify for a potential “Republican Hispanic Caucus.” Geraldo Rivera may dismiss such victories as “window dressing,” (as he did recently on Fox News) but they have changed both image and substance of the GOP.

Quote of the day – Las Vegas Review-Journal

…Nevada continues to have the nation’s highest unemployment rate, and Nevada not only ranks last among the 50 states in federal tax dollars returned per capita, but last in “stimulus” funding as well. And let’s not forget that although Sen. Reid claimed to have single-handedly rescued the world from an economic depression, he blames Nevada’s woes on former President Bush and Republicans.

So our job-creating, world-saving, pork-scoring senator can’t create jobs, lift Nevadans’ standard of living or bring home the bacon, after all?

Behar: “This Bit**” Sharron Angle Is “Going To Hell”

I guess you have to click on the link to see Joy flip out. My God, these people are scared, as well they should be. I don’t know why anyone watches this show and I don’t know why Walters keeps her on. Behar is so unhinged all the time and so rude.

“The View” co-host Joy Behar flips out after Sharron Angle attacks Harry Reid on his position on illegal immigration.

It’s not voter fraud. Old people just don’t know how to vote.

Clark County [Nevada] Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax said there is no voter fraud, although the issues do come up because the touch-screens are sensitive. For that reason, a person may not want to have their fingers linger too long on the screen after they make a selection at any time.“Especially in a community with elderly citizens (they have) difficulty in (casting their) ballot,” Lomax said. “Team leaders said there were complaints (and the) race filled in.”

Harry Reid saved the World! This is not just funny. It’s deeper than that.

The first thing I thought when I saw this last night on Drudge was: Is this guy finally succumbing to dementia?

And then I laughed at him.

But the deeper message that has been bugging me all day is the shear arrogance of this statement.

HE saved the world?

He saved the WORLD?

So, we have all been suffering so much that we never noticed and he is so humble that he never brought to our attention how much of a debt we owe him.

And he wants Nevada to send him back so he can save us some more.

In all our suffering we can’t think clearly (according to Obama) and we need him and Reid to lead us through the fog of our confusion and our inability to assemble a sensible or intelligent thought. We just can’t do that without the Democrats/Marxists to lead us.

Quite frankly, we aren’t smart enough. Or we are just in need of a psychiatrist, like Juan Williams is.

Which is it? Are we all just too stupid to understand current events or are we just crazy extremists who are in need of some sort of national intervention to save us and force us to see the light?

Reid saved the world and Gore invented the internet and the oceans have stopped rising thanks to divine intervention from the messiah Obama. The message is that we can not get along or even survive without these people.

Yes, we do owe a debt but it’s not a debt of appreciation. It’s a debt in the trillions dollars that we will be paying off for generations.  And these people are so arrogant and so delusional that they actually do believe we owe them a prayer of thanks.

THEY BELIEVE THIS!

So I ask you, who really needs psychiatric help?

Midterm elections and election HiJinx

I’m at the point where I don’t think anything the Dems do will make any difference or if anything they do makes a difference, it won’t be to their benefit. No matter what they do, they’ve lost in this midterm election.

There are a few exceptions and Jerry Brown is one of them. Brown may win because the people who vote in California seem to be pretty nutty and out-vote those few who aren’t. It won’t hurt him very much that he or someone in the room with him called Meg Whitman a whore. In fact, NOW and some other womens organization will be coming out with a big pro-Brown press conference tomorrow in California. There just are more nutcases in California than there are sane, thinking Americans.

Proof positive that Californian nuts outpace the normal ones is the surge for Brown since an illegal alien (Nikki the maid) has been put into legal jeopardy by an unethical attorney (Gloria Allred) in order to cripple Whitman.

On the other hand, the race in New Jersey has turned a corner with the revelation that the Democrat candidate for re-election, John Adler’s own campaign members put up a bogus Tea party candidate to siphon votes from the Republican, Jon Runyan. The NJ TEA party associations have all disavowed this bogus fellow (Peter DeStefano) as one of their own. And Adlers own campaign volunteers have acknowledged that this little dirty trick did in fact occur.

New Jersey is not the only state where Democrats slimy tactics have come into question. There are still allegations that Harry Reid’s campaign put up a phony candidate (Scott Ashjian) under the guise of the TEA party. All Nevada TEA party associations have disavowed this guy as one of their members. As in New Jersey, no Nevadans had ever heard of this guy before this election cycle.

Does anyone really believe that something Christine O’Donnell did as a teenager will really have an impact on how she would represent Delaware today? Virtually no votes will be changed because she had a date with some guy who took her to what I’m sure really was a kegger hideaway for teens. Every town has one of those. We called it Number 9, where I grew up. It was in a little valley by a creek, a few miles out of town. . . but I digress.

Some of these Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot with little help from their challenger, but at great advantage to that challenger:

Great ad, Mrs. McMahon.

Most people have made up their minds by now. A quick look at the low number of undecided voters in nearly all races is evidence of that.  And with early voting open or soon to be open in most states, there isn’t much time to do a lot more damage.

Harry Reid holding our troops hostage

from brokencountry.com

In order for our troops to get the funding for body armor and ammunition and stuff they need, Republicans will have to vote for the immigration bill that Reid has attached to the Defense bill at the 11th hour.  This immigration bill, dubbed the DREAM Act, gives a pathway to citizenship for minor illegal aliens. The vote for this will be next Tuesday.

If the GOP doesn’t vote in favor of this, they are leaving our troops stranded and unarmed. If they vote for it, they are moving big steps toward amnesty for illegals.

This is the Harry Way. This is the reason he has to go. This is what the Republicans and Angle have to jump on during this campaign. Reid has got to be tossed out.

Nothing is as unpatriotic and unAmerican as ransoming our troops in order to pass his illegal immigration legislation. The purpose of this is to get the Hispanic votes in Nevada. This is the lowest move any senator could make.
