US lists Israel as terror sponsor

Doubtless some politically correct soul at ICE or in the State Department felt that the U.S. needed to show impartiality in making up its list and include non-Muslim countries. What better rebuttal to those who would claim that the ICE is profiling Muslims than to say that Israel is also on the list?

I keep saying this: if Obama really wants to be re-elected, he sure has a strange way of going about it.

Spock’s brain splits into 2 states

I’m a closet Trekkie without the elf ears or phaser.  I don’t attend those goofy conventions but I love Star Trek and have since I was a kid.  A few times a year when I can’t sleep, I have a ST marathon (I have all the DVDs. And for the original series I go to FirstOnMars.com or hulu.com and watch on my computer.)

I like the original series and the Next Generation – don’t watch the newer incarnations like DeepSpace 9. As far as I’m concerned, no one can be better Enterprise captains than William Shatner or Patrick Stewart.

Why am I telling you all this Star Trek stuff? Answer: Because Mr. Spock has come out for a 2 state solution in Israel. Leonard Nimoy is an 80 year old 2 stater Jew. I know he’s a Jew thanks to Adam Sandler:

Nimoy is advocating splitting Jerusalem. Making it the capitol of both Israel and the Palestinians, in addition to land swaps.  What land is going to be swapped? If the Palestinians have control of the holy sites that are now in the hands of the Jews, will they remain open to all? I doubt it and so does Andrew Klavan:

In his letter, Nimoy sites the episode of ST called Let this be your last battlefield (Season 3, episode 15.)  Two aliens are transported on board the Enterprise who have been in mortal combat for thousands of centuries. If you get a chance to watch the episode, it’s an obvious portrayal of the race issues in America in the ’60’s.

Both men are half black and half white and the only difference is that white is on the left of one and on the right of the other.  The dialog is Oppressor vs Oppressed, bad guy/good guy and guess who’s the oppressive bad guy? The one (Frank Gorshin) who represents the white American male. He’s white on his right.  Get it?  (As a side note, this is the television Primetime Propaganda that Ben Shapiro writes about in his new book.)

So Nimoy thinks that a lesson can be learned from this episode of centuries old conflict and puts it in the context of the 2 state solution in Israel.  I’m not really seeing a connection here. Israel has taken a dry desert and turned it green. It’s created a nation that is the most productive and democratic in the entire region – a nation that is open to anyone and just to all, including women and gays, unlike it’s Muslim neighbors. It has never enslaved Palestinians (as the ST episode posits about Black Americans.) It has never religiously oppressed them, as their Muslim neighbors do to Christians and Jews.

The ST episode and the letter Nimoy has written suggests and encourages a form a reparation for the oppressed (Black Americans in the 60’s and now Palestinians.)  This is not only unrealistic (I mean, after all it was just tv!) but dangerous to the Jewish state.  How will Israel be more prosperous, more safe with the Palestinians owning half of Jerusalem and swaths of the country? These are people who have sworn their intent is to destroy Israel.

And why do the Israelis owe reparations to the Palestinians? They never enslaved or stole this land from anyone. It was a UN charter that granted this land to them. Why have the other Muslim nations not absorbed the Palestinians into their nations but instead expect the Israelis to do so?

A 2 state solution will not work. It will empower the Palestinians to attack the Jews and to take more and more if they can get away with it. It’s their stated goal to eradicate the Jewish state and giving them more of a toehold by donating half of the holiest of cities, Jerusalem to them, will only encourage them on their dastardly course.

My message to Mr.Spock is logical: In television, conflicts that have simmered for centuries are routinely solved in less than 50 minutes. Not so in real life.

By the way, if you’re not a trekkie you probably don’t get the reference in the title of this blog, to another ST episode: Spock’s Brain.  In that episode, Spocks brain is surgically removed by another alien invader, much prettier than Frank Gorshin, and he’s kept alive by the gifts of Dr. “Bones” McCoy.  (insert smiley face emoticon here, please.)

Nothing has disturbed me as much as the slaughter of this Jewish family on March 11th. This unspeakable act which seems to have garnered not ONE statement from our government, our state department or the man who sits in the oval office, disgusts and saddens me.  I have seen virtually no American press coverage of this. And I can’t understand why there is no public outrage. I can’t understand why there is only silence from the Hollywood elite and those celebrated American terrorists, Bill Ayers and his lovely wife Bernadine Dohrn, who all support Palestine. (Dorhn, along with Code Pink, were part of the phoney flotilla that was enroute to the Gaza Strip with weapons for the Palestinians.)

In order to fight and beat these barbarians, we have to first understand what and who we are fighting. Please read Steven Brown/FrontpageMag.com. You will come away with a whole new mindset on radical islam.

The AWOL president and a leaderless nation

Aside from telling the world, in the wake of one of the biggest earthquakes in the last century to hit Japan,  that our relationship is “unshakeable,”  TheOne finally came out and talked about this heartbreaking disaster during his NCAA picks.

He gave a 35 second yadda-yadda on how we should go to his government website and donate to help in the disaster.  We all know  the world is on pins and needles, waiting to see his picks. (Is that a simile or a metaphor or a mixed metaphor? My daughter is the English expert in this house and she’s not here to ask.)

Regardless, Japan is suffering and what is this president doing?

NCAA picks.

The Libyan rebels are begging for help and Qaddifi’s son says it will all be over in 48 hours. I don’t doubt him for a minute. How can we possibly institute a no-fly zone in enough time, even if we wanted to do that? And considering what’s happening in Egypt since they pushed Mubarak out, I’m inclined to say let them do whatever they want to do to each other.  Women are being assaulted and raped in Egypt with abandon. I don’t know why any American would support military action to aid any Muslim group. What they are best at is killing each other, raping and maiming women and girls and let’s don’t forget —  killing Israeli babies.

Oh, did I mention that wholesale food prices have risen 4% – the largest hick in over 35 years?

So, with the specter of a world imploding,  TheOne and his family are packing for just ONE MORE VACATION to Rio and other South American nations.

But back to the brackets: I’m sure that just like his books that were ghost written by a dear friend – Bill Ayers – he was also coached by his brother-in-law on who to pick and why.

Baby Joesph gets a second chance in the U.S.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that Baby Joesph and his family are Muslim. I do know that his parents are of Lebanese decent but I remember hearing on tv that they were also Muslim.

Who is helping this family do what they want to do with their child?

Another call for a Muslim Cosby-like sit-com. Would they do an honor killing episode?

I actually thought that “Little Mosque on the Prairie” was a joke but it’s apparently a Canadian sit-com that’s been airing since ’07.  Those forward seeing Canucks have been ahead of us for that long!

Recently,  there’s been a call from Katie Couric and now Clarence Page (a Black journalist) is on board for the networks to do our own version of a muslim Cosby show. Page says that the muslim community in America has replaced the Black Americans as the lowest of the low in our society: since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Muslims have become the new “Negroes,” the new occupants of the bottom-rung scary-minority status long occupied by us African-Americans.

I’m not going to argue that Muslims are “the scary-minority”. It is what it is. Even fellow Black journalist/commentator Juan Williams has his share of Islamophobia.

But on the topic of a Cosby-type show for the average Muslim family living in America, here’s a take I wonder if any Hollywood writers would consider:

The beautiful Muslim actress, Afshan Azad was in an English courtroom because her 28 year old brother beat her. The 21 year old actress’ crime was that she had a Hindu boyfriend. Although she endured 3 hours of  being punched, strangled, and dragged by her hair by her brother, she still pleaded for the judge’s leniency during the sentencing hearing, and asked he not be jailed.

Not only did she endure this nightmare experience at the hands of her older brother but on other occasions she  was threatened and verbally abused by her parents. And all in the name of dishonoring her Muslim family. Interesting story at FoxNews.

Yes, this all happened in England but the same if not worse has been happening in America for a long time, and has largely gone unnoticed by the media here. I don’t think anyone has to wonder why the media wants to cover-up these atrocities. There are cases in Phoenix, in Texas and in New York of women and girls being beaten, murdered and beheaded that no one wants to talk about.

Oh, I can see this story line on a Cosby-like Muslim show: controlling your young daughter who is in love with an infidel. Or the question of living in a republic that conflicts with sharia law.

The Cosby Show was about 2 educated, professional parents raising a family. It just so happens they were a black family but their story and humor resonated across all races in America. How can a Muslim family sit-com do the same thing when the devout  must follow sharia law and that includes punishing daughters and wives who fall short of their horrendous laws?

I look at this pretty girls picture and wonder when it will be her turn to die. How soon before it happens to her?  And at the hands of the people who gave her life.

This is a story line that I don’t see any networks ever picking up.
