Earlier this year, South African townships were rocked by incidents of necklacing – mob-justice punishment in which tyres [tires] are forced over victims’ shoulders and set alight. Is this notorious form of killing from the 1980s in danger of making a comeback?
Angelina Maholwana, 74, felt that justice was being done as she watched two young men burn to death.
Tyres [tires] had been forced over their shoulders, doused in petrol and set alight.
She had just identified Mabhutana Siwisa, 19, and Mloza Gqomfa, 20, as the men who had broken into her home, killed her son, tried to sexually assault her and stolen their belongings.
It was the second incident of necklacing in one month, in New Brighton township, in the industrial city of Port Elizabeth.
The practice dates back to the 1980s, when it became the punishment of choice among supporters of the African National Congress (ANC) for alleged collaborators with the apartheid regime – though the ANC leadership said it did not condone it.
Last week, Eric Holder issued subpoenas to go after News Corp. – the parent company of the Wall Street Journal and Fox News. This isn’t news to anyone who reads my blog because you are well read and well educated on current events. Unlike some of the liberals I hear call Rush and Levin, we know what’s going on and we know the actors.
Holder is holder-ing out on Rep. Darrell Issa’s (R – CA) congressional investigation of the Fast and Furious/gun running fiasco.
This is a big story. There are reports of DOJ attorneys at Fast and Furious meetings with other very upper level ATF guys. But who’s covering it? Fox. Who is Holder now investigating? Fox. Connect the dots – what’s the message from Holder?
Now it seems to me that Eric Holder knew about this gun running crap and so did Obama. Remember Obama’s words regarding gun regulations, back in March, to Mrs. Jim Brady – “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”
And those processes are what? More executive orders, more regulations from unelected regulatory czars and letting guns walk over the border to make a case for more gun regulations.
I’m gonna say it again – This is a big story and the MSM is not covering it – on purpose. They are choosing not to cover this because of definite harm to Holder and probable harm it will do to Obama.
But the ends justify the means to the Marxists in our government. Let no one forget – LET NO ONE FORGET – that the means was the murder of at least one (and possibly another) American law enforcement agent named Brian Terry.
As Levin said today on his radio show, the Obama Regime is suing Arizona for asking proof of citizenship when arresting individuals, but they are trying to stop Texas from killing a monster because they never asked for proof.
So, I ask these communists, which is it? How do you want it, because you can’t have it both ways.
And who speaks for this little girl who he raped and killed? We have female – FEMALE – Supreme Court justices who would be screaming for abortion rights but will not speak for this little girl?
Where is the so-called compassion from the left now? They aren’t speaking for the rights of this girl or her family. They are, as they always do, speaking for killers and monsters: like cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, who I’ve written about before.
It would be nice to see the outrage that has been all over the news over the verdict in the Casey Anthony case, instead all over the news over this. How dare any nation or organization interfere with a sovereign state, within this country? The United Nations are the first to be trashing America for imposing ourselves on other nations but they are not only investigating Arizona for human rights violations (can you believe that?), now trying to tell the state of Texas how to adjudicate and carry out their laws!
We need a president Perry or someone like him who will tell the UN to go to hell and go to hell in a BIG way!
There are 2 little girls who are dead. One who no one will ever be held to account for but another who’s killer has been convicted and sentenced. His sentence was carried out today.
At this man, and anyone who supports him, is where our rage should really be directed.

“We have discovered how to hit the Jews where they are most vulnerable. The Jews love life, so that is what we will take from them. We are going to win, because they love life and we love death.”
– Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah
The following video is graphic and disturbing, so be warned before you watch or forward it to the 50 second mark.
Nothing has disturbed me as much as the slaughter of this Jewish family on March 11th. This unspeakable act which seems to have garnered not ONE statement from our government, our state department or the man who sits in the oval office, disgusts and saddens me. I have seen virtually no American press coverage of this. And I can’t understand why there is no public outrage. I can’t understand why there is only silence from the Hollywood elite and those celebrated American terrorists, Bill Ayers and his lovely wife Bernadine Dohrn, who all support Palestine. (Dorhn, along with Code Pink, were part of the phoney flotilla that was enroute to the Gaza Strip with weapons for the Palestinians.)
In order to fight and beat these barbarians, we have to first understand what and who we are fighting. Please read Steven Brown/FrontpageMag.com. You will come away with a whole new mindset on radical islam.
I guess that means that they can’t carry out defensive activities either. This article also goes on to say that we are increasing our aid to Mexico to fight their – THEIR – drug cartels. You know, the ones that are responsible for murdering ICE agents, American tourists and border farmers and ranchers.
Here’s the best proof that politics, not principle, is guiding the actions of the Obama administration: Nidal Hasan’s arraignment has been held over for three weeks at Fort Hood — until after the midterm elections.
Why does this matter? Because he is being charged with thirteen deaths, not fourteen. One of Nidal Hasan’s victims was pregnant. The Unborn Victims of Violence Act (UVVA) applies wherever the federal government has primary jurisdiction — from the District of Columbia, to national parks, to military installations. It applies to our bases in Afghanistan and to our units and planes operating there. It applies to Fort Hood.
Ft. Hood mass murder
The law is called the Lacy and Conner Peterson Act, even though it would not have applied in the case of that young mother and her unborn son. Their murder was a state criminal matter for California.
The UVVA is also a part of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). So why isn’t Nidal Hasan being charged with the death of an unborn child, too?
Might it be because the Obama administration chooses not to raise this issue in the critical weeks leading up to midterm elections? Could it be because it does not want to further antagonize its liberal base?
Now, remind us, Mr. President: Exactly who is it who behaves irrationally when he is afraid? I think it’s not the American people. Sadly, I think it’s our current leadership.
CHICAGO — Cell phone footage showing a group of teens viciously kicking and striking a 16-year-old honors student with splintered railroad ties has ramped up pressure on Chicago officials to address chronic violence that has led to dozens of deaths of city teens each year.
The graphic video of the afternoon melee emerged on local news stations over the weekend, showing the fatal beating of Derrion Albert, a sophomore honor roll student at Christian Fenger Academy High School. His death was the latest addition to a rising toll: More than 30 students were killed last school year, and the city could exceed that number this year.
Prosecutors charged four teenagers Monday with fatally beating Albert, who was walking to a bus stop when he got caught up in the mob street fighting, authorities said.
The violence stemmed from a shooting early Thursday morning involving two groups of students from different neighborhoods, said Tandra Simonton, a spokeswoman for the Cook County prosecutor’s office. When school ended, members of the groups began fighting near the Agape Community Center.
During the attack, captured in part on a bystander’s cell phone video, Albert is struck on the head by one of several young men wielding wooden planks. After he falls to the ground and appears to try to get up, he is struck again and then kicked. Simonton said Albert was a bystander and not part of either group.

Chicago police said they were looking for at least three more suspects, but would not discuss a possible motive for the attack.
Simonton said Albert was knocked unconscious when Carson struck him in the head with a board and a second person punched him in the face. Albert regained consciousness and was trying to get up when he was attacked a second time by five people, struck in the head with a board by Riley and stomped in the head by Shannon, Simonton said.
Fenger students said Albert’s death intensified tensions at the school, with arguments about him breaking out in hallways all day Monday. Several blocks away, a memorial erected on the spot where he was beaten was burned down. Police also increased patrols before and after school and in the neighborhood.
“They’re still trying to retaliate,” said sophomore Toni Gardner, 15. She did not elaborate.
For Chicago, a sharp rise in violent student deaths during the past three school years — most from shootings off school property — have been a tragedy and an embarrassment.
Before 2006, an average of 10-15 students were fatally shot each year. That climbed to 24 fatal shootings in the 2006-07 school year, 23 deaths and 211 shootings in the 2007-08 school year and 34 deaths and 290 shootings last school year.
This month, the city announced a $30 million project that targets 1,200 high school pupils identified as most at risk to become victims of gun violence, giving them full-time mentors and part-time jobs to keep them off the streets. Some money also will pay for more security guards and to provide safe passage for students forced to travel through areas with active street gangs.
Albert’s family attended a news conference Monday with school district leaders and police, but did not speak. They wore T-shirts with a picture of him in a cap and gown, with the words, “Gone too soon, too young.”
“Brace yourselves, because the war with Muslims has just begun,” 31-year-old Faisal Shahzad told a federal judge. “Consider me the first droplet of the blood that will follow.”
