This is worth seeing – again.

I think, and I know in my case, that all it took was for a plumber to ask one question during the last presidential campaign, for it to be clear to many of us that we had a communist, in the guise of the democrat party, running for president. (Spread the wealth around a little, anyone???)

I keep asking myself if he thinks Pelosi needs to spread her $62+ million around. After all he has said that there’s a point when everyone has made enough money:

This Whittle video is worth a watch again to remind us all that this man is and has always been a socialist. For cryin’ out loud, the man admits to being a Marxist in his book! Most of his cabinet are self-avowed socialists or Marxists — Anita Dunn, her husband Bill Bauer (remember him? the author of the what became known as OBAMACARE while Bill was in JAIL?)  or Van Jones ring a bell???

Whittle explains the messaging behind the Obama branding:

One day you can tell your children about the family vacations they will never get to take

Two years ago Ray LaHood (Transportation Secretary) brought this idea up and now it’s seeing more light of day.  With the Randian name Transportation Opportunities Act (TOA) they plan to tax how many miles we drive by installing an Orwellian-type electronic device in our cars.

1984 meets Atlas Shrugged all in one fell swoop.

Of course this is in addition to the national gas tax (average) of $.495 that we are already paying.

Take a look a these PDF maps (H/T Mark Levin’s website), here and here,  to see how much you are now paying in state and federal taxes per gallon of gas.  And those taxes won’t ever go away; they will be added to the VMT (vehicle mileage tax) that this regime wants to impose on us with this new TOA.

No one, it seems has considered how this will impact employment, or lack thereof.  Take for instance the number of people who will stay home rather than take a family vacation. The impact on communities and states that rely on tourist dollars will surely feel it. And lets see — how will this impact state and national parks that rely on tourism dollars.  Fewer people will be hired and more people will be laid off or not replaced should they have to quit their jobs.

Then there’s the more sinister side of this: controlling our movement and restricting relocation to other states. People are easier to control if they can’t move around much.  Make it more expensive to travel and people do (and already have) cut back. That means less money spent in the retail sector, as well – again, a job killer.

This gives me a headache. This man and his regime HAVE GOT TO GO in 2012 or we are doomed.

My Book of the Month – Crimes Against Liberty – an absolute MUST read

If you read nothing else this year, make this your one book. David Limbaugh has written the definitive book  of this president and his administration and I’m sure that in the coming 2 years he will have more to add for a volume II.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it last week and now I can’t put it down. It’s a fast, easy read, full of information we have all forgotten (the never occurring but muchly bragged on so-called transparency of putting a bill online for 5 days so that the American people can read it) and information many of us never knew before (locking out 150 kindergartners from a White House tour because, due to heavy traffic, they arrived 10 minutes late. White House staffers claimed that their late entry would interfere with a scheduled meeting between TheOne and the Superbowl winning Pittsburgh Steelers.)

Limbaugh correctly claims that Obama is tone deaf to what Americans want and what they believe but he also apparently lacks the basic understanding of human emotions. In his speech when he signed the Freedom of the Press Act, he told reporters, “Obviously, the loss of Daniel Pearl was one of those moments that captured the world’s imagination because it reminded us of how valuable a free press is.”

A beheading that “captured the world’s imagination”? Is this a total disconnect or what? I read this in the first 35 pages of the book and was stunned. But Jim Hoft (Gateway Pundit) put it best:

. . .”No, Barack. It was horrifying. .  It had nothing to do with freedom of the press. They beheaded Daniel Pearl because he was an American and a Jew. They beheaded Daniel Pearl because they were Islamic radicals. Something you have not yet figured out.”

This book is a stunning indictment of the man whose sole purpose is to bring America to its knees and unless he is stopped on election day 2012, the damage very well might irreparable.

America is in a dangerously rapid nosedive under Obama’s navigation. The key to our delivery from this systematic assault is for the Americn people to understand Obama’s extremist agenda, to get engaged and to do everything we can to peaceably remove him and his supporters from office at election time and replace then with constitution- revering, liberty-lovering public servants who respect the rule of law.

No matter how bleak conditions look now, we have reason for optimism, as the American people, like no other people in world history, love and appreciate the liberty bestowed upon us by our foundeing fathers and preserved by the blood of our patriotic ancestors.

God bless America.

Get your hands on this book and read it. Arm yourself with the truth in order to disarm and dismantle Obama’s leftist machine. . . before it’s too late.

Quote of the Day – Peter Kreeft

Karl Marx

. . . Marxism retains all the major structural and emotional factors of biblical religion in a secularized form. Marx, like Moses, is the prophet who leads the new Chosen People, the proletariat, out of the slavery of capitalism into the Promised Land of communism across the Red Sea of bloody worldwide revolution and through the wilderness of temporary, dedicated suffering for the party, the new priesthood.

The revolution is the new “Day of Yahweh,” the Day of Judgment; party spokesmen are the new prophets; and political purges within the party to maintain ideological purity are the new divine judgments on the waywardness of the Chosen and their leaders. The messianic tone of communism makes it structurally and emotionally more like a religion than any other political system except fascism.

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide from the Green Church of Obama

Ray LaHood (an Archbishop of Obama’s green church or as he is commonly known, the Secretary of Transportation) plans to “coerce” Americans into staying out of our cars in order to combat pollution and lower gasoline use and dependency on foreign oil.

Or so he says.

The Fugitive David Janssen

I believe that’s partially true. But I also believe this is a plan to restrict our movements – an attempt to prevent us from traveling or moving to another locale. It’s easier to control, contain and identify people when they aren’t on the move. Just ask Lt. Gerard who chased Dr. Richard Kimble for several seasons while the real murderer, the one-armed man, was not even on the radar.

But I digress.

The reason I’m becoming even more suspicious of LaHood and the administration’s motives is because of one more snippet I heard on Limbaugh’s Friday show. A nurse called in and talked to guest host, Mark Steyn about crap-and-tax (AKA as cap-and-trade by the Marxists in power.)

She said that in this bill, every city, town and hamlet would be granted 3 commissioners or inspectors who would rate and inspect your home – in the event that you wanted to sell it – and inform you of it’s compliance or more importantly, it’s non-compliance as a temple to the green religion of the so-far-left-they-are-not-even-in-this-galaxy.

She said that they would inspect your dishwasher, furnace, even the lights used to illuminate a piece of art on your wall and if you fail the compliance test, you have to shell out the bucks to bring it into compliance.  Or forget about selling it.

Think about this.

We have almost 10% unemployment and by other authorities that rate is closer to 17%. People are looking for work and with this administration’s plans to make it more difficult to travel or re-locate, they are making those unemployed full time unemployed (or government dependent) citizens. Unemployment checks, welfare, food stamps and free health care for life – what more can anyone ask, huh? A true cradle to grave European America – coming right up!

You can’t travel to work or to find work because LaHood has “coerced” the price of gas to outrageous levels and you can’t move to find work because your house is not green enough to sell. You can’t be misplaced by the ADMINISTRATION (cue Twilight Zone music)  because you can’t leave your place. Like the innocent Dr. Kimble, we will never be able to go on the run and stay 10 steps ahead of this administration’s Lt. Phil Gerard. They will see to it that they know where we are at all times.

We should be afraid. We should be very afraid.

So, what becomes of the American dream of home ownership? Well, that’s another topic for another blog in a galaxy far, far to the left…

Obama’s Alinsky lessons in action

Very interesting and enlightening from Investors Busniness Daily:

A great question that requires your input. Read and comment, please.

I was asked this question by someone named Kafka, on my “About my blog” page:

how come america has so many governments that are anti-government? And in what relation is that to the failure of the american economy?

I think this is a very important question. I’ve answered it in my own way, but I would love for other bloggers in and out of the Conservative network to add their opinions and thoughts.

I know many of you are much more articulate than I am and lots smarter, too. Please feel free to add to the discussion because I think it’s in questions like this that we are able to make our case for freedom and liberty and what has made America great to those who don’t know.

Kafka,

I’m not sure I understand your question but I’ll make an attempt to answer what I think you are asking.
I think you are asking why there are so many anti-AMERICAN government people here in America and if or how that is a reflection of our economy. So I’ll go from that premise and if I’m misunderstanding you, maybe you can clarify and correct me.

I’ve blogged at several different places and left them because of the America hatred from both Americans and Europeans. The short answer is that many Americans think it’s hip to be on board with the Europeans and hate all things American. Most of those people don’t know their own American history and have no appreciation for where they live and where they came from.

There’s a reason we are Americans and we live here. Unless we are descended from slaves or Native Americans, the true reason is that our ancestors chose this place. (But even those descended from slaves are now here by choice.) We aren’t here by accident. We are here because of a choice made by our grandparents or great-grandparents, to find and create a place of freedom. They did that and it’s been a glorious experiment.

Many of us now see our nation slipping into the dark ages that Marxism will create. We have self-avowed Marxists in our government – many of them are people we never elected. They are taking over every facet of our lives, all our freedoms that we have enjoyed because of those who came before us are being systematically destroyed. We are scared for our country and our children’s futures if this is allowed to succeed.

Marxism is the antithesis of Capitalism.  And marxists hate what America is and what being American means. So in one sense, yes the economy is part of the problem. They believe that Capitalism is evil and they have been dismantling our economy for the last 40 or 50 years. Most of us didn’t realize it. The home mortgage crisis is a direct result of this. It was not greed, as they want you to believe, that caused it. A great part of it was government intervention in the banks, beginning in the 70’s,  that forced the housing collapse in this decade.

Marxists are anti-Republic. We are a republic which is nothing like the totalitarian government they want to see. It’s the exact opposite of Republican government. They believe that they know better than the citizens, what we need and what the government should do for us. But Americans don’t want to be told what to do or what is best for us and we don’t want government doing anything for us. That’s the reason this country was established in the first place so that we could decide for ourselves and not have a government making choices for us.

Marxists hate individualism. They believe in the collective and working for the collective. Most Americans believe in working for themselves and their families and the excellence of the individual. Americans want to keep what they earn and produce. Marxists want to take that and share it with everyone else – redistribution of wealth. They want to destroy the greatness of the individual. And they do not believe in individual responsibility.

Marxism is everything that America is not, never was and was never intended to be. They do not believe in reform, they believe in destruction. Destroy corporations and absorb them, destroy the individual and absorb him into a faceless, nameless mass collective. Much like the Borg, as funny as that sounds. The marxist wants to destroy the American spirit and uniqueness and make us – pardon me for saying so – European. There’s nothing wrong with being European but if that’s how our forefathers envisioned it, we would not have the America that we’ve had.  We would not have the America that millions of Americans have fought and died for in all the wars since the 18th century. They came here to create something different from the European governments they left. Else, why would they have left in the first place?

I would very much like to hear what others have to say about this, so I’ll end my ramblings with this: I think we are witnessing the beginnings of a very civil and bloodless civil war. And if liberty lovers do not win, if the marxists succeed, all other world governments will eventually collapse, too.

Thank you for asking a question that has made me think.

Pay back’s a bitch… ain’t it?

The NYTs finally came to the party and wrote a story about the ACORN situation. They should be ashamed of being shown up by a couple of twenty-something kids and judging by their snarky, left-leaning story, they are.

In their very biased coverage (in full, here) they say that “Conservatives believe that they have hit upon a winning formula for such attacks: mobilizing people to dig up dirt, trumpeting it on talk radio and television, prompting Congress to weigh in and demanding action from the Obama administration.”

Winning formula? Why, yes indeedy. What O’Keefe and Giles did was take a page or 2 out of the Alinsky manual and use it against the marxist organization. O’Keefe, in fact sites Alinsky rules as his inspiration:

Alinsky Rule #10, “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.”

“The only way to upset the power structure in your communities is to goad them, confuse them, irritate them and, most of all, make them live by their own rules.  If you make them live by their own rules, you destroy them.”

“Instead of railing against their radicalism, it is best to bring out this type of radicalism,” he [O’Keefe] wrote.

Personally, I couldn’t be prouder of them. Once I read Alinsky’s book, everything was crystal clear to me. The behavior of the left (past and present) was so transparent and obvious, it made me wonder how I’d missed so much before.

These kids read the book, they learned the methods, they understand the process and they used it against them! Good job is not good enough for them.

We could and should learn some lessons from these upstart journalists! It was a superb job!
