Who’s your daddy? The entire ruling class, it seems.

It’s pretty damned patronizing of the ruling class and the president to tell us that we “don’t need to see the photos.” Who are they to decide what we “need” to see and what we don’t?  And as Ann Coulter said, these people who are telling us what we “don’t need to see” are all people who have already seen the photos.

How dare you put yourselves in the position of daddy-ing us? That includes republicans who are falling in lockstep with this thinking, as well.

At least 80% of the American people have been waiting for this day to come and now we are told that we can’t “spike our football.” Does this mean excessive celebration in the end zone (Ground Zero) is unbecoming of Americans?

I’ll gladly take the 10 yard penalty to be assessed at the kick-off.

Stop treating us like children who can’t understand everything from our enormous national debt to the propriety of (an honest to God) head shot.  I think we can take seeing it. After all, nearly 10 years ago we watched planes full of people crash into buildings full of people, many of whom jumped to their deaths and another plane full of heros who downed it in a field rather than allow it to be used as another missile. We’ve been seeing youtube videos of al Qaeda animals beheading Americans numerous times over the last 10 years.

I think we can handle seeing a photo of a dead bin Laden. I think we deserve to excessively celebrate seeing it.

Now show us the damned photo!

How the secret team took out bin Laden

This is a great article about the elite group that took out bin Laden. Makes you proud to be an American with guys like this on your side.

Let this be a reminder to those who wish us ill

You handcuff your wife to a stove? New defense: It’s the Bible’s fault.

ATLANTA (AP) – Former President Jimmy Carter says much of the discrimination and abuse suffered by women around the world is attributable to a belief “that women are inferior in the eyes of God.”

Carter said such teachings by “leaders in Christianity, Islam and other religions” allow men to beat their wives and deny women their fundamental rights as human beings.

The former president made the remarks Wednesday at a gathering of human rights activists and religious leaders from more than 20 countries at the Carter Center in Atlanta.

Carter said he doesn’t fault religions for oppressing women, but blames men who selectively interpret the Bible and other scriptures. He suggested there are other, more flexible interpretations.

Carter called mistreatment of women “the most serious and all pervasive and damaging human rights abuse on Earth.”

Is this guy for real? Oh Lord, unfortunately he is.

Sorry to inform the former Dork-in-Chief, but Islam is the religion that abuses and denigrates women. There aren’t a lot of stories of Christians killing their daughters to preserve family honor. Or Christian men cutting the noses off their wives to make them “too ugly for anyone else.”

Klavan on the Culture take 2

The Coming of the end – and the 12th Imam. I’ve been waiting to see this:

It will probably be on Glenn Beck today or this week sometime.

We have good reason to be afraid. These people not only believe in the second coming of their Messiah, but they plan to do what they can to speed up his coming, including destroying Israel and Jerusalem. They are willing to die to make it happen.

Stay on long enough and it’s translated into English.

By the way, keep your eyes open near the end for Pelosi, Obama, Bush and others giving the horned hand sign. I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen a picture of any of them doing that — it’s kinda funny if it weren’t so terrifying.

The death cult of radical islam

Suicide bombers in training from lastdaysrevelations.com

“We have discovered how to hit the Jews where they are most vulnerable. The Jews love life, so that is what we will take from them. We are going to win, because they love life and we love death.”

– Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah

The following video is graphic and disturbing, so be warned before you watch or forward it to the 50 second mark.

Nothing has disturbed me as much as the slaughter of this Jewish family on March 11th. This unspeakable act which seems to have garnered not ONE statement from our government, our state department or the man who sits in the oval office, disgusts and saddens me.  I have seen virtually no American press coverage of this. And I can’t understand why there is no public outrage. I can’t understand why there is only silence from the Hollywood elite and those celebrated American terrorists, Bill Ayers and his lovely wife Bernadine Dohrn, who all support Palestine. (Dorhn, along with Code Pink, were part of the phoney flotilla that was enroute to the Gaza Strip with weapons for the Palestinians.)

In order to fight and beat these barbarians, we have to first understand what and who we are fighting. Please read Steven Brown/FrontpageMag.com. You will come away with a whole new mindset on radical islam.

Obama talking tough to Qaddafi. If it weren’t so serious, it would be funny.

When did Qaddafi become a “legitimate leader”? He took control of  Libya in a bloodless coup in 1969. He was never elected or chosen by his people, therefore he is not legitimate. And by whose definition is he “legitimate”?  The answer to that would be other dictators like Chavez and Castro. Certainly he is not legitimate to the civilized, Western world and he never was. And how can the president of the United States stand there and infer Qaddafi’s legitimacy when it’s a well known secret that he ordered the downing of  PanAm 103 over Scotland, killing 270 people in the plane and on the ground. That total included 179 Americans.

I’m sure Qaddafi was shaking in his sandals when Obama told him “he should leave now.” Especially when Obama sends a ferry – a FERRY – that was too small and couldn’t leave port for 2 days, to evacuate our citizens.  At the same time,  France and Great Britain were sending in military planes to evacuate their people, we are sitting in a harbor in Libya waiting for our ferry to be sea worthy.

When Obama speaks, who’s afraid? Who’s even listening? Certainly not our enemies. No one cares and no one listens. Obama is seen worldwide as weak and naive. No one fears what America might do because America, under Obama, knows only how to bow, shake hands and flash a white, toothy smile.

The comparison to Jimmy Carter is hard to overlook. Is it a surprise that Iran released the hostages as soon as Ronald Reagan was inaugurated and Jimmy Carter was on his way back to his peanut farm?

If this doesn’t just knock your socks off, nothing will!

From Ken Blackwell/The American Spectator:

Here’s the best proof that politics, not principle, is guiding the actions of the Obama administration: Nidal Hasan’s arraignment has been held over for three weeks at Fort Hood — until after the midterm elections.

Why does this matter? Because he is being charged with thirteen deaths, not fourteen. One of Nidal Hasan’s victims was pregnant. The Unborn Victims of Violence Act (UVVA) applies wherever the federal government has primary jurisdiction — from the District of Columbia, to national parks, to military installations. It applies to our bases in Afghanistan and to our units and planes operating there. It applies to Fort Hood.

Ft. Hood mass murder

The law is called the Lacy and Conner Peterson Act, even though it would not have applied in the case of that young mother and her unborn son. Their murder was a state criminal matter for California.

The UVVA is also a part of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). So why isn’t Nidal Hasan being charged with the death of an unborn child, too?

Might it be because the Obama administration chooses not to raise this issue in the critical weeks leading up to midterm elections? Could it be because it does not want to further antagonize its liberal base?

Now, remind us, Mr. President: Exactly who is it who behaves irrationally when he is afraid? I think it’s not the American people. Sadly, I think it’s our current leadership.
