Good Lord, what will they do in CA now that rationing is coming?

Governor Schwarzenegger is calling a special session of the state legislature to address a $6billion deficit with the goal of saving his state nearly $10billion dollars over the next 2 years.

And what will does he want to cut? Health and welfare services to millions of Californians. Arnold’s big plan is to limit doctor visits to 10/year and put a lid on prescriptions to citizens who are part of Medi-Cal, the state welfare service.

Rationing is beginning in the state with the 8th largest budget in the entire world and the largest illegal immigrant population (2.2million),  in the United States. At the cost of 2.2million illegals, the bona fide citizens of California will lose their benefits and their entitlements.

In a state with 3 large sanctuary cities – San Francisco, Los Angles and San Diego – most of them simply won’t mind giving up what they’ve been voting for themselves for years.

Liberals – give them enough rope and they will always hang themselves

Case in point: In the current defense bill,  it’s not enough that they are trying to confer amnesty on illegal minors (the DREAM Act), and to do away with the “Don’t ask – Don’t tell” but now Roland Burris (R-Ill) wants to allow abortion on demand at all military hospitals overseas.

The Burris proposal would undo restrictions put in place by congressional Republicans during the Clinton administration. That policy restricted abortions at military hospitals to cases of rape, incest or when the woman’s life is threatened.

Sometimes I think that we really don’t have to do anything but sit back, wait long enough and then watch these liberals blow themselves up.

Harry Reid holding our troops hostage

from brokencountry.com

In order for our troops to get the funding for body armor and ammunition and stuff they need, Republicans will have to vote for the immigration bill that Reid has attached to the Defense bill at the 11th hour.  This immigration bill, dubbed the DREAM Act, gives a pathway to citizenship for minor illegal aliens. The vote for this will be next Tuesday.

If the GOP doesn’t vote in favor of this, they are leaving our troops stranded and unarmed. If they vote for it, they are moving big steps toward amnesty for illegals.

This is the Harry Way. This is the reason he has to go. This is what the Republicans and Angle have to jump on during this campaign. Reid has got to be tossed out.

Nothing is as unpatriotic and unAmerican as ransoming our troops in order to pass his illegal immigration legislation. The purpose of this is to get the Hispanic votes in Nevada. This is the lowest move any senator could make.

It’s more important to sue a state than protect it

I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

It’s also the presidents job to protect America from aggressors and invasion, both foreign and domestic. In Arizona, he’s not really doing that job when you consider that we have land in this state that are basically off-limits to American citizens due to dangerous drug and human smuggling.

The government “encourages visitors to use public lands north of interstate 8” to avoid possibly armed criminals in OUR desert! We have already surrendered hundreds of miles of Arizona desert to Mexican criminals. Why not just move the border that far north and give it back to Mexico, for cryin’ out loud? As Governor Jan has said, we are basically surrendering portions of our state to another nation.

We’ve asked for support and national guard and for the most part, we have been ignored. The president walked as fast past Governor Perry (Texas) in an obvious snub, as he could last month when he flew in for a fund raiser. He has refused to talk to him or come down and visit the border states for himself.

The federal government is sending 525 guardsmen to the Arizona border but they can do very little: observe and report to the border patrol, period. In some instances it takes the patrol 30 to 60 minutes or more to arrive at a site and by then, the illegals are gone. Most of these roads in the desert are not much more than foot paths and almost none are paved which makes it a bit difficult for the patrols to react quickly.

We are being invaded and seceding our lands while it’s the presidents responsibility to protect and defend this nation. He’s not doing that. In fact, instead of taking action against this, he is taking ARIZONA and one of our sheriffs to court!

Obama’s confused if he can’t figure out that American citizens are not the enemy. And his attorney general needs to be replaced if it’s more important to sue Sheriff Joe and the state of Arizona while he lets Black Panthers walk.

Are we going to wait until terrorists make their way into this nation via the Arizona desert and commit something unspeakable before this administration takes this seriously? How many more dead American ranchers will it take?

I think this could be an impeachable offense and I hope someone with the expertise is looking into it.

2 more good reasons Gov. Perry should boycott the Governors border meeting

Outrageous!

from the WSJ story - Huckabee and Quijas in a Mexican prison.

Mexico is torturing and falsely imprisoning our citizens and our government just doesn’t care. The consulate tells the family of these men (in the WSJ story) that they can’t and won’t do anything to help, although there are claims of torture by the authorities. This would never happen in America. Accusations of torture by prisoners in America, usually end with someone being fired, tried and thrown in jail. (If the victim is a minority, riots also ensue.) These men, in Mexican jail, must feel totally forsaken and hopeless. They can’t even get an attorney who can speak English, for cryin’ out loud!

The American government is so consumed with a law in Arizona that mirrors federal law that they ignore what’s happening to our citizens in Mexico. The bleeding heart left and its government can’t be concerned with the allegations of torture from American citizens who have been arrested and are being tried in Mexico. They are too busy screaming racism in Arizona.

I hope Americans stop going to Mexico. I have friends who go there to purchase medication or for very cheap dental work, others who go there for vacation. This is a dangerous place and our government doesn’t care what happens there. They especially don’t care what happens to our citizens if they are arrested and then tortured.

This government is giving Mexico over $1billion (which we really don’t have) to fight drug cartels. That’s in addition to the over $20billion of  US money a year that legal and illegal workers send home to Mexico. They get plenty of our money.  Americans should not be spending a single dime in that country.

And they seem to get plenty of respect from our politicians, too. Remember this:

A standing OVATION? I am still outraged when I see this.

Until there is a fair judicial and legal system in Mexico (hey! did you see those pigs fly by?) Americans are obligated to avoid business with Mexico. We owe it to our fellow citizens  – Huckabee, Quijas and all others – to stand firm against Mexico.

Already rethinking that Arizona boycott

From the Los Angeles Times:

Two much-debated City Hall issues are expected to converge this week when the Los Angeles Police Department’s red light camera program moves to the front of the line for an exemption from the city’s contracting boycott of Arizona over that state’s new immigration enforcement law.

On Tuesday, the City Council is scheduled to consider — and appears likely to approve — an exception to the boycott allowing a 10-month extension of a multimillion-dollar agreement with Scottsdale-based American Traffic Solutions.

The firm operates cameras at 32 city intersections that catch tens of thousands of red light violators each year. The council’s Public Safety Committee says the exception is justified because red light cameras provide a “significant benefit to public safety.”

Open letter to Obama from Jon Voight

June 22, 2010

President Obama:

You will be the first American president that lied to the Jewish people, and the American people as well, when you said that you would defend Israel, the only Democratic state in the Middle East, against all their enemies. You have done just the opposite. You have propagandized Israel, until they look like they are everyone’s enemy — and it has resonated throughout the world. You are putting Israel in harm’s way, and you have promoted anti-Semitism throughout the world.

You have brought this to a people who have given the world the Ten Commandments and most laws we live by today. The Jewish people have given the world our greatest scientists and philosophers, and the cures for many diseases, and now you play a very dangerous game so you can look like a true martyr to what you see and say are the underdogs. But the underdogs you defend are murderers and criminals who want Israel eradicated.

You have brought to Arizona a civil war, once again defending the criminals and illegals, creating a meltdown for good, loyal, law-abiding citizens. Your destruction of this country may never be remedied, and we may never recover. I pray to God you stop, and I hope the people in this great country realize your agenda is not for the betterment of mankind, but for the betterment of your politics.

With heartfelt and deep concern for America and Israel,

Jon Voight

California wants to be a third world nation? We can accomodate that!

From Fox News and Drudge

Californians want a boycott? We can give one better than they can. Turn off their lights. Yes, it means that we lose money, but we’re losing money every hour of the day as it is. Illegals cost my state over $2billion a year and L.A.’s boycott will cost us millions.

The thing no one seems to understand is that it’s the criminal element of the illegals who we want to be protected from: the ones who come  here and kidnap and kill our citizens.

What’s most funny and telling about the left is that they claim this law is a civil and human rights violation but they make no mention of the 70 Mexicans crammed into a van (and dying) on their illegal way into America. The left doesn’t care about those pathetic people. They pick and choose who they are going to champion and when.

On the one hand, Californians want to make their state a sanctuary state for all illegals and on the other they are leaving their state in herds and in the process, changing the political demographics of Arizona and Nevada for the worse. Californians know they cannot afford to harbor these illegals and yet the loud Marxists in the state (most of them in Hollywood, it seems) are running the show and making the decisions and running the state into the level of a third world country.

So, I’ve come full circle because it is mostly dark in third world countrys…. isn’t it?

Why Colorado’s Ritter may have bowed out

Barbara Hollingsworth: Sex, Lies and Federal databases

A scandal involving unauthorized use of a federal crime database that’s been brewing in Colorado for four years may have abruptly ended the political careers of Gov. Bill Ritter and his longtime aide, who was nominated by the Obama administration for Denver U.S. attorney.

Last month, Stephanie Villafuerte unexpectedly withdrew her name after the Senate Judiciary Committee’s top Republican member, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said he expected her to answer the FBI’s questions about her role in the affair and under oath.

Democrat Ritter’s announcement that he would not run for a second term sent shock waves through a Democratic Party already reeling from retirement announcements the same day by Sens. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., and Chris Dodd, D-Conn.

It also focused renewed attention on Transportation Security Administration nominee Erroll Southers, who gave Congress conflicting reports over his personal use of the same crime database to run unauthorized background checks on his then-estranged wife’s boyfriend.

Congressional Republicans are now demanding that Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano investigate the firing of former Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent Cory Voorhis for pointing out Ritter’s hypocrisy during the 2006 gubernatorial campaign.

As Denver district attorney, Ritter allowed 152 illegal immigrants accused of deportable felonies to plead guilty to lesser charges such as “agricultural trespass.” Those pleas allowed them to remain in the country.

Angered that Ritter blamed ICE agents for not removing criminal aliens from the state when he had been releasing them himself, Voorhis then contacted a staff member for Republican Bob Beauprez, who was running against Ritter, and suggested he check Ritter’s record on the issue.

Even though Voorhis did not pass on the information himself, he was blamed for a subsequent Beauprez attack ad based on information provided to the Republican’s campaign by a private investigator in Texas.

The ad featured Honduran illegal immigrant and heroin dealer Walter Ramo (aka Eugene Estrada and Carlos Roberto Estrada-Medina) whose 2002 plea deal with Ritter allowed him to stay in the United States. Ramo was later arrested in California for sexual assault on a minor.

Only those with access to the National Crime Information Center database would have been able to link Ramo to the California crime. According to the Denver Post, an FBI investigation found that only three people accessed Ramo’s record: Voorhis, Houston-based private investigator Kenny Rodgers, and First Assistant DA Chuck Lepley. A phone log belonging to DA spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough noted that Villafuerte, who was then working on the Ritter campaign before, had called her to ask about Estrada-Medina.

It took a federal jury less than two hours to find Voorhis not guilty of two misdemeanor charges of unauthorized access to the restricted NCIC database, but ICE fired him anyway. The Merit Systems Protection Board, which upholds federal civil service personnel standards, will hear his appeal later this month.

The Denver Post also reported that an April 2009 internal ICE memo said Tony Rouco, Voorhis’ supervisor, perjured himself at the trial and made false statements to the FBI. Instead of being fired, Rouco was given a temporary promotion.

“Three people accessed the federal database,” Colorado blogger Ross Kaminsky (rossputin.com) told The Examiner. “Of the three, the only one whose access was for law enforcement purposes was Cory Voorhis. Two people passed on the information. … The only one who didn’t pass the information was Voorhis, and he was the only one prosecuted.”

Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Colo., has asked the Justice Department to investigate Villafuerte but he has not yet received a reply. Coffman sent another letter to Napolitano last week asking her to lift the “indefinite suspension” on the still-unemployed Voorhis’ security clearance so he can get a job.

Last month, Sessions also asked Napolitano to reopen the investigation into Voorhis’ dismissal. DHS agreed to do so. However, a Sessions aide says he has since heard nothing from DHS.

Meanwhile, Voorhis — a decorated 15-year veteran who has suffered tremendous financial and personal hardship for exposing Ritter’s duplicity — is still twisting in the wind.
