Soros and Madeleine Albright purchase controlling stake in energy corporation

from Finweek

Two investment funds associated with the names of billionaire investor George Soros and former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, have bought controlling stake in energy company APR Energy. The APR Energy dominates the international market for temporary supply of electricity, primarily supplying temporary power to developing countries.

George Soros owned Gavilon quietly purchasing our food

My brother-in-law is a wheat farmer and reads websites daily about wheat prices, grain news and agri-business in general. He read a story last week, that he since can’t find and I can’t find when I googled it, which makes me wonder if the story was scrubbed, about George Soros purchasing grain elevators in Nebraska. These particular elevators are apparently the last stop before the wheat is shipped out of the county.

Please read on. I did find some interesting stories about Soros and his acquistion of other grain and grain elevators. The name of his company is Gavilon and according to several agri-business sites, it’s the 3rd largest business, now just behind  ADM (Archer Daniels Midland) and Cargill. Last fall he also purchased a huge amount of the grain business in Australia. This from Agrimoney.com in December:

AWB [Austrailan wheat] was in talks to sell a stake in its domestic grains handling business to US-based Gavilon before the Australian group became a takeover target.

Gavilon, which is backed by George Soros’s Soros Fund Management has since unveiled its own expansion plans in Australia, the southern hemisphere’s top wheat-exporting target.

Soros is not just a tumor in America, he’s a global cancer.

This from Reuters on March 24th, which makes no mention of  Soros:

Gavilon acquisition allows it to support PNW export mkt

* Elevator purchase equates to 8.4 million bushel capacity

(Reuters) – U.S. grain firm Gavilon Grain said on Thursday it will buy Union Elevator and Warehouse’s 16 grain elevators in the Pacific Northwest, the company’s second big purchase of U.S. grain facilities in the last six months.

Privately held Union Elevator, where employees own a significant share of the company, approved the transaction on Wednesday, with sale expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2011.

The purchase of 16 elevators at 12 locations in eastern Washington will expand Gavilon’s grain capacity by 8.4 million bushels.

“The addition of Union Elevator’s grain facilities and origination capabilities position us well to support the growing Pacific Northwest export wheat market and serve the Columbian Basin feed grain market,” Greg Konsor, vice president and general manager of Gavilon Grain, said in a statement.

The Pacific Northwest is the No. 1 wheat export terminal in the United States.

Omaha, Nebraska-based Gavilon — a commodity trading firm formed in 2008 when ConAgra Foods (CAG.N) sold it to investors — purchased grain handler DeBruce Companies last year, making it the third-largest U.S. grain storage network behind Archer Daniels Midland (ADM.N) and Cargill Inc [CARG.UL].

In October (also from Reuters), a deal was made with Soros backed Gavilon to purchase the privately owned and Kansas City based, DeBruce Grain.

The purchase includes DeBruce’s grain handling facilities, fertilizer distribution network, feed mills and a soybean crushing plant.

DeBruce Grain Inc has grain elevators in Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Indiana, Wisconsin and Mexico, with combined licensed storage capacity in excess of 140 million bushels.

The DeBruce purchase will raise Gavilon’s grain storage capacity to nearly 300 million bushels, making it the No. 3 U.S. grain handler after ADM Grain Co., a unit of Archer Daniels Midland Co (ADM.N), and privately held Cargill Inc., according to data from Milling & Baking News, an industry publication.

According to the Wall Street Journal, DeBruce also owns feed-livestock mills – feed for beef and pork. How soon before Soros starts buying up the feed lots, I wonder?

Big Thank You to my brother-in-law, Mark for bringing this to our attention.

The American taxpayer – insulted and injured and becoming more aware of it

When union leaders negotiate with a politician, they’re negotiating with someone they can hire and fire. Public unions have numbers and money, and politicians need both. And politicians fear strikes because the public hates them. When governors negotiate with unions, it’s not collective bargaining, it’s more like collusion. Someone said last week the taxpayers aren’t at the table. The taxpayers aren’t even in the room.

As for unions looking out for the little guy, that’s not how it’s looking right now. Right now the little guy is the public school pupil whose daily rounds take him from a neglectful family to an indifferent teacher who can’t be removed. The little guy is the beleaguered administrator whose attempts at improvement are thwarted by unions. The little guy is the private-sector worker who doesn’t have a good health-care plan, who barely has a pension, who lacks job security, and who is paying everyone else’s bills.  Peggy Noonan/WSJ

And then there’s this:

Last year, for example, the Open Society Foundation, backed by liberal financier George Soros, gave NPR $1.8 million to help support the latter’s plan to hire an additional 100 reporters. When NPR receives million-dollar gifts from Mr. Soros, it is an insult to taxpayers when other organizations, such as MoveOn.org demand that Congress “save NPR and PBS” by guaranteeing “permanent funding and independence from partisan meddling,” as the liberal interest group did last month. It was even more insulting when PBS posted a message on Twitter thanking MoveOn.org—the group that once labeled Gen. David Petraeus as “General Betray Us”—for the help. Senator Jim DeMint/WSJ

No warning – Your domain name is gone! But anyone (who’s progressive) can use the presidential seal.

DHS has seized this page!

Claiming that it is seizing domain names (like amoyhy.com and do search that site so you can see the DHS seizure notice) that are infringing on copyright and counterfeit laws, the DHS has been pretty busy while the rest of us were enjoying turkey and pumpkin pie.

These domain owners had no advance notice or warnings and in fact, even godaddy.com was unaware that its clients were losing their sites.  until after the deed was done.

The targets – at this time – are bootleg music and replica or as DHS calls them, counterfeit handbag-type sites.

Seriously, you’re ordering a Louis Vuittan bag for $49.95 and you think it’s authentic? You really are a dope, if you think so.

So while we’re on the topic of counterfeit, bootleg and pirated stuff, how about this story: Center for American Progress using presidential seal on its ‘teaching Obama how to be a progessive president’ materials.

ALG [Americans for Limited Government] President Bill Wilson initially sent a letter to White House counsel Robert Bauer asking if he granted an exception to the Center for American Progress to use the seal for its publication, “The Power of the President: Recommendations to Advance Progressive Change.”

The report offers President Obama a blueprint on how he can advance his agenda through the use of  executive orders, instead of relying on Congress after Democrats lost control of the House in this month’s midterm elections.

There’s been no response from the White House or from the DOJ on whether permission was granted to CAP to use the seal on its publication.  As the Fox story explains, the use of the seal is very narrow and limited primarily to educational and historical purposes. You can’t just go around slapping THE seal on documents without asking first. . . unless you’re John Podesta or on the George Soros payroll, then I suppose it’s okay to pirate THE seal to promote your propaganda.

Is this the change all those college students voted for? Their music and faux designer handbag and shoe sites are being shut down by DHS – like they have nothing more important to shut down – and the regime is making noises about deactivating their cell phones in their cars.

I hope they are loving this “fundamental transformation” they went all gah-gah over 2 years ago.

They deserve this.

Rapiscan CEO with Obama in India

In light of the news that Glenn Beck broke on his show last week regarding the owner of the Rapiscan body scanners (George Soros’ OSI) being used by the TSA, there’s this tidbit to add to it.

The Soros web just keeps getting larger and larger.

Did you watch Beck today?

’nuff said.

Beck called it, Media Matters accuses him of being an Anti-Semite

These people are so predictable.

And predictably stupid.

Soon-to-be new owner of NPR – George Soros

From soros.org via The Drudge Report

It appears that George Soros has Murdick —oops, I mean Murdoch envy. As in Rupert Murdoch.

He’s donated over $1m to NPR to increase coverage of the legislature in “all  50 states.” Soon he’ll be a radio mogul on the level of Rush and has his sights on being another Murdoch when he takes over PBS. He runs, oh how many web blogs? A dozen or so? Which puts him above and beyond Breitbart. And then of course, if you watch Beck you already know that he funds (therefore owns) a dozen so-called community organizing groups from the Tides Foundation to Van Jones’ Color of Change. Many of these groups have members who wrote – WROTE – the recent legislations that have so infuriated the American people.

Our own legislators did not write the health care or stimulus bills. The same ones they never read.

Those bills, for all intents and purposes were written by George Soros through his surrogates.

I want my money out of NPR and PBS. Let Soros fund them.

Look at the take over this man has accomplished and he’s not done yet. He owns our medical care and has put each of us in debt to the tune of $43,000. He wants to bury Fox, Beck and Rush (and all those like Beck and Rush.) If you’ve been watching Beck you know that Soros is infiltrating our schools, as we speak and attempting to do so in our churches.

Can any evangelicals out there spell AntiChrist?

If I believed in an AntiChrist, I’d spell it: S-O-R-O-S

NPR fires Juan Williams for not being politically correct enough. With an update.

Update: Listening to John Gibson this morning and he mentioned that this is “PLEDGE” week at NPR.  Firing Juan Williams appears to be a calculated decision at NPR in an attempt to raise more funds from the left and its leader, George Soros.

Well Juan, how does it feel to be the one thrown under the bus? How does it feel to no longer be simpatico with your leftist amigos?

NPR is taxpayer funded and yet they have the power to silence – to censor – voices that don’t go along with their leftist ideology. He’s a news analyst,  someone who gets paid to broadcast his opinions.

Now let’s be clear, until I read this quote from Juan:

“I mean, look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I’ve got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

I can’t remember a time when I did agree with him. The one time he actually puts words to the feelings that most people have, he gets canned. He’s been fired for saying, finally, what most Americans think and feel by a news organization that is paid for by those same Americans.

We all know how left leaning NPR is. This is not a news flash. But to censor speech because it is contrary to what some higher-ups in that organization believe, that crosses a line. We pay the salaries of those same higher-ups and pay them to make decisions, not to cram their leftist ideology down our throats. How much more arrogance are we going to tolerate from people who are essentially on OUR payroll?  The heavy handedness of this firing due to a statement that is not politically correct enough for the bleeding hearts at NPR is not just cowardly, it’s the height of arrogance.

Which one of us taxpayers gave them a promotion to speech policemen?

Along with getting rid of the Department of Education, the National Endowment for the Arts and privatizing the post office,  we need to call for pulling the plug on NPR and PBS. And firing someone for having an opinion that disagrees with the so-called bosses, is one more good reason for doing so.

70 members of Congress belong to the Socialist party

Two things of note in this revelation. The first is the astonishing number of Democratic House members who not only belong to the Socialist Party of America but even more incredible, don’t mind if people find out about it.
From the Discover The Networks : “Until 1999, the Progressive Caucus website was hosted by the Democratic Socialists of America. After the press reported on this link, the connections suddenly vanished from both organizations’ websites.”
As DTN also points out, the Progressive Caucus works hand in glove with George Soros funded ‘Progressive Challenge,’ which is a project of the hard left Institute for Policy Studies.

from the American Thinker.

Hon. Raúl M. Grijalva (AZ-07) is the Arizona Congressman who said (and I paraphrase) “go ahead and boycott Arizona. We deserve it” over the immigration law that is now tangled up in court thanks to Eric Holder’s DOJ.

Is it any wonder we are in such a mess when we have this many far leftists in Congress?
