Waking up to the results of multiculturalism

Being multicultural is all fine and good until you’ve lost your nations identity and liberal/socialist John Cleese is realizing that much.

Cleese, who is performing in Sydney, was asked on Australian TV what he thought of last month’s riots around the UK.

He replied: “I’m not sure what’s going on in Britain. Let me say this, I don’t know what’s going on in London because London is no longer an English city.

“That’s how they got the Olympics. They said, ‘We’re the most cosmopolitan city on Earth’, but it doesn’t feel English.

“I had a Californian friend come over two months ago, walk down the King’s Road and say to me, ‘Well, where are all the English people?’

“I love having different cultures around but when the parent culture kind of dissipates, you’re left thinking, ‘What’s going on?’ “  Chris Pollard/The Sun

Yep, what IS going on? Where did my nation go? Those are the questions that we will all be asking (many of us already have been asking.)

When we don’t FORCE assimilation, and we promote moral relativism, we are condemning our uniqueness, just as Britain and all of western Europe has done.

Everything from “press 2 for English” to bilingual laundry soap packaging,  examples of the moral relativism  that is creeping into our culture is everywhere.  It’s been slow and insidious but it’s happening.

One day we will no longer be America. Our nation will become a messy, disorganized, malfunctioning form of the UN, with states like Michigan that will be Islamic and states like mine – Arizona – that will be Mexican.  That which made us all Americans, will be gone.

Obama continues to vote present because he just likes Being There

Obama has not only diminished the nation in the eyes of the world but he’s diminished the office of president in the eyes of the American people.  It’s a shame when Americans have lost all pride in the POTUS and the first family. It’s sad that he’s such a bumbling fool, which reflects on all of us.

From bowing to foreign leaders:

to denying American  exceptionalism to escorting the Dalai Lama past the garbage and out of the White House via the back door,

from FrugalCafeBlogZone.com

Obama has weakened our position on the world stage.

So, when the president is selling $5 raffle tickets from his living room in the White House for a dinner with him or Joe Biden, it’s obvious to all that the prestige of the office is in the basement. It’s on par with the sleaziness of selling the Lincoln bedroom.

Let’s hope a dinner with a common American goes better than this one did:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The Obamas are totally out of their element as the First Family of America.

~~~ooOoo~~~
Obama has the Alinsky community organizer job down very well: give the idea and incentive and then delegate so if (or when) it doesn’t work out, he has clean hands. It’s really nothing more than a continuation of voting “present” by just Being There.
Just Being There (in the White House) is all he really wants anyway: the perks and the private concerts with super stars, the private jet and personal chef. Honestly, after reading Michael Barone in the National Review today, I can see why BO wants to be president again. Being There is just so easy.
Which past leader does Barack Obama most closely resemble? His admirers, not all of them liberals, used to compare him to Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt.
[…]
But there is another comparison I think more appropriate for a president who, according to one of his foreign-policy staffers, prefers to “lead from behind.” The man I have in mind is Chauncey Gardiner, the character played by Peter Sellers in the 1979 movie Being There.
Peter Sellers as Chauncey Gardiner in Being There. And many believe that just like Chauncey, Obama walks on water, too.
As you may remember, Gardiner is a clueless gardener who is mistaken for a Washington eminence and becomes a presidential adviser. Asked if you can stimulate growth through temporary incentives, Gardiner says, “As long as the roots are not severed, all is well, and all will be well in the garden.”
“First comes the spring and summer,” he explains, “but then we have fall and winter. And then we get spring and summer again.” The president is awed as Gardiner sums up, “There will be growth in the spring.”
Kind of reminds you of Barack Obama’s approach to the federal budget, doesn’t it?
[…]
On all these issues, Obama seems oddly disengaged, aloof from the hard work of government, hesitant about making choices.
That doesn’t sound like Lincoln. Or Roosevelt. Or even Jimmy Carter. More like “then we have fall and winter.”
The One hits the links on Memorial Day
Come hell or high water (2 phenomena that the midwest and south have been experiencing lately, not to mention the troops that were honored today) TheOne, believe it or not, went golfing. Just hours after he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns and met with military families, he’s hitting the links.
This guy is beyond cold, beyond callous.
Imagine this is 4 or 5 years ago and this were George Bush. Would the press have turned a blind eye to this? I think not. In fact, as all of us know, Bush gave up golf while in the White House out of respect for our troops and their families. And like a real man, he kept his word.
~~~00Ooo~~~

While in England, the Obamas met the royal newlyweds. Duchess Kate wore an off the rack $300 dress and the self appointed American Queen wore a designer dress worth over $25o0 or maybe it was over $3000 – I just know it was way out of line.  The Brits are facing economic hard times, just as we are and their newest royal is setting a tone of austerity that our leaders’ wives could take a lesson about.  I remember when Nancy Reagan replaced the White House china with private donations (no tax dollars were used) and she was crucified in the press for being extravagant.  But once again, the current first lady can wear expensive designer clothes and feed the homeless in $540 sneakers and employ non-American designers and it’s all OKAY.

Another call for a Muslim Cosby-like sit-com. Would they do an honor killing episode?

I actually thought that “Little Mosque on the Prairie” was a joke but it’s apparently a Canadian sit-com that’s been airing since ’07.  Those forward seeing Canucks have been ahead of us for that long!

Recently,  there’s been a call from Katie Couric and now Clarence Page (a Black journalist) is on board for the networks to do our own version of a muslim Cosby show. Page says that the muslim community in America has replaced the Black Americans as the lowest of the low in our society: since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Muslims have become the new “Negroes,” the new occupants of the bottom-rung scary-minority status long occupied by us African-Americans.

I’m not going to argue that Muslims are “the scary-minority”. It is what it is. Even fellow Black journalist/commentator Juan Williams has his share of Islamophobia.
But on the topic of a Cosby-type show for the average Muslim family living in America, here’s a take I wonder if any Hollywood writers would consider:
The beautiful Muslim actress, Afshan Azad was in an English courtroom because her 28 year old brother beat her. The 21 year old actress’ crime was that she had a Hindu boyfriend. Although she endured 3 hours of  being punched, strangled, and dragged by her hair by her brother, she still pleaded for the judge’s leniency during the sentencing hearing, and asked he not be jailed.
Not only did she endure this nightmare experience at the hands of her older brother but on other occasions she  was threatened and verbally abused by her parents. And all in the name of dishonoring her Muslim family. Interesting story at FoxNews.

Yes, this all happened in England but the same if not worse has been happening in America for a long time, and has largely gone unnoticed by the media here. I don’t think anyone has to wonder why the media wants to cover-up these atrocities. There are cases in Phoenix, in Texas and in New York of women and girls being beaten, murdered and beheaded that no one wants to talk about.
Oh, I can see this story line on a Cosby-like Muslim show: controlling your young daughter who is in love with an infidel. Or the question of living in a republic that conflicts with sharia law.
The Cosby Show was about 2 educated, professional parents raising a family. It just so happens they were a black family but their story and humor resonated across all races in America. How can a Muslim family sit-com do the same thing when the devout  must follow sharia law and that includes punishing daughters and wives who fall short of their horrendous laws?
I look at this pretty girls picture and wonder when it will be her turn to die. How soon before it happens to her?  And at the hands of the people who gave her life.
This is a story line that I don’t see any networks ever picking up.

Like it or not, and most of us won’t, a Brit’s view of Obama and failing American leadership

Obama the impotent

by Steven Hill/The Guardian

“Many leaders and supporters are beginning to wonder what is causing this growing gap between the Barack Obama that many people saw on the campaign trail, and the Obama they see in the White House? Beyond Obama’s oratorical skills, which excited not only American voters but people all over the world, he is mostly untested as a politician. His previous experience was only a few years in the US Senate and a few years more as a state senator. A sinking feeling is arising among many that President Obama may not be up to the task, that he may not possess the artful skills needed to accomplish even his own goals.

But it must be recognised that it’s not just Obama’s shortcomings that are causing the problem. The very structure of the American political system is at the heart of these failures.”
