Quote of the day – Ann Coulter

Democrats don’t resent “the rich” on behalf of the poor. They resent the rich on behalf of the government.

Random thoughts for Monday

These unions get us coming and going. Morning Bell at the Heritage Foundation says that the teacher’s “sick-in” could cost Wisconsin taxpayers up to $6million. A story from MacIver Institute, explains how much these work absences will cost the state, thanks to “doctors” who are signing work excuses to protesters on the picket lines. No one knows how many of these “doctors” are even genuinely licensed.

The unions are doing nothing but alienating public opinion. Those of us in the private sector are watching this and seeing how much these folks will be getting in pensions and we aren’t liking it. And we are liking less, the protesters when they are asked to shoulder a little of the burden that we have had to carry for years. So, I say keep it up. Membership in unions is declining (it’s under 11% of the work force now) and they aren’t doing anything positive for their cause.

~~~ooOoo~~~
I have to ask: how smart is it to take your spring break in Mexico or go hiking along the Iranian border or to sail your yacht along the coast of Somalia? I mean, seriously.
~~~ooOoo~~~

I hope the Republicans who voted with the Democrats on the budget last week have some kind of good explanation for doing so. Some of those defecting to the dark side were Tea Party candidates and all of them ran on budget cuts and repealing ObamaCare, when they were elected last November.  This is highly disappointing. And sure does make me question my faith in the party.

~~~ooOoo~~~
And then there’s this:
For 50 years, Democrats have harbored traitors, lost wars, lost continents to communism, hobnobbed with the nation’s enemies, attacked America’s allies, and counseled retreat and surrender. Or as they call it, ‘foreign policy.’ As Joe McCarthy once said, if liberals were merely stupid, the laws of probability would dictate that at least some of their decisions would serve America’s interests.” –columnist Ann Coulter
But we know that none of their decisions have served America. . .
Quote of the day – Ann Coulter on the religion of the liberals
Former divinity student Al Gore famously botched a biblical verse, switching God’s instruction that we put heaven before earthly things (“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” Matthew 6:21) by saying we should make the Earth our treasure. (In the druidical religion of liberalism, not separating your recyclables is a sin, but abortion is just a medical procedure.)
Howard Dean told a reporter his favorite book of the New Testament was Job.
There’s only one true Christian liberal in the country, and that’s Mike Huckabee.
The pseudo-intellectuals in the media
from HotAir.com:
“You know, at the risk of violating Godwin’s law, is anyone starting to see parallels here between the teabaggers and their tactics and the rise of the Brownshirts?” asked Bloomberg’s Ryan Donmoyer. “Esp. Now that it’s getting violent? Reminds me of the Beer Hall fracases of the 1920s.”
The Brownshirts were the SA, armed thugs organized into a paramilitary structure by the Nazis (who later were deemed expendable, with most of their leadership murdered by the SS after the Nazis took power).  The term “Brownshirts” came from the uniform they wore in public.  They conducted massive levels of violence against their political opponents, especially the Communists, but hardly limited to them.  They took their direction from the very hierarchical Nazi Party leadership.  In short, they’re nothing like anything on the American scene on either side of the political divide, not even the anarchists who conducted real violence in St. Paul during the Republican convention.  Donmoyer’s education on this period seems to have been gleaned from comic books and paranoid fantasies in progressive blogs.
from Ann Coulter/Human Events:
[Spencer Ackerman on Journolist said] “What is necessary is to raise the cost on the right of going after the left. In other words, find a rightwinger’s [sic] and smash it through a plate-glass window. Take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear. Obviously I mean this rhetorically.”
Who are the brownshirts again? Who are the fascists and the Nazis?
You know, it’s time that we stop thinking these guys are so much smarter than we are. They obviously are not. These guys don’t even have a grasp of 20th century history.
They sure aren’t smarter and they are definitely more inclined to violent thinking.  And remember, these are the guys who have been providing us with news and information – as incorrect and stilted as it has been.  The problem is that those of us who knew better than to rely on them to become informed are a minority. And those who still get their information from them, don’t even know about all that the Daily Caller has uncovered. I”m sure (although I could be wrong because I never watch it) that MSNBC has done nothing on this for its viewers. After all, Spencer Ackerman is a regular on Rachel Maddow’s show (according to Ann Coulter.)
I think the table’s have turned now and the so-called media smart guys are going to be living “in a constant state of fear” because their are enough of us who have been informed and thanks to the new media, they are being watched.
As an aside: please click on Godwin’s law and read what it means, in case you don’t know.
Quote of the day – Ann Coulter
We are at war. The Supreme Court has no right to stick its fat, unelected nose into the commander in chief’s constitutional war powers, particularly in a war against savages whose only reason for not nuking us yet is that they don’t have the technology. (The New York Times hasn’t gotten around to printing it.)
My Tea Party day
I started the day from work, ran home and packed the essentials – my computer, camera and medicine and then drove to Searchlight. The traffic was incredible. When I got to ‘downtown’ Searchlight there was a crowd of about 2 dozen Reid supporters on the corner. Wish I could’ve gotten some pictures of them. The rally was 2 miles outside of town. I parked off the highway and walked a good bit to get to the dusty valley where the stage and port-a-potties were set up. When I arrived there were only a few hundred folks. When I left there were several thousand. Estimates range from 5,000 to 20,000. All I know was when I turned around to walk out of the “mosh pit” I was in, there was a sea of people behind me and the traffic leaving was more amazing than it was coming in.
There were 4 jet skywriters that spelled out things like “Vote Harry Out” and “Thank you Sarah”. Those guys got lots of ooohs and aaahs from the crowd.
I met so many great people.
One family I met had just relocated to Bullhead City AZ from Flint, Michigan. They had a $150,000 home on 5 acres and sold it for $35,000. Had there been no home on the land, they could’ve sold it for $50,000. Michigan is, as we all know, in the crapper. They had an 8 year old son with them.
When Sarah finally took the stage, I couldn’t see her but I could hear her. She was GREAT!
I didn’t get any pictures of the rally in Henderson but it was surprising how many young people and young families were there – parents who are scared for their children’s future. There were many college age people there. It was a really up lifting day and something I needed, to be sure. I’ve been feeling pretty dragged down since this health care passed.
Ann Coulter got the first of several standing ovations and was a one-liner after another. The crowd loved her, as do I.
Hannah Giles got another standing ovation when she took the stage for a few brief remarks and to introduce Andrew Breitbart.  The man I came to see! He told the story of his arrival earlier in the day in Searchlight – what he called a moonscape. He said that some man on a corner was holding a sign “directing” folks to the tea party site – except it was the wrong road which he fully admitted to Andrew. As the Tea Party Express buses turned down that road (the wrong road) they were pelted with eggs. Some one threatened Andrew with the words “you’d better get out of here or I’ll be spending the night in jail.” And someone else called the sheriff and claimed (unbelievably) that Andrew had thrown the eggs!!! When the sheriff arrived and Andrew pointed to his film crew and the video tape of the entire event, including the real egg tossers, the sheriff sauntered off and the whole thing was dropped. Meanwhile the msm kept on driving by, too. Another story that almost no one will know about.
It was a long, dusty day, complete with dozens of text messages between my family and I. Everyone worried that I would fall asleep driving. I think I was awake for 38 hours before I finally died at my son’s house in Las Vegas last night.
It was all worth it. A very inspiring day with thousands of inspired people.
Ann Coulter victim of Canadian hate crimes
These are her interviews and story on Canadian television regarding her “welcome” in Canada. It’s a 3 part video. And the story is here.
I like Ann. I just wish she weren’t so anorexic and unhealthy looking.
