Waking up to the results of multiculturalism

Being multicultural is all fine and good until you’ve lost your nations identity and liberal/socialist John Cleese is realizing that much.

Cleese, who is performing in Sydney, was asked on Australian TV what he thought of last month’s riots around the UK.

He replied: “I’m not sure what’s going on in Britain. Let me say this, I don’t know what’s going on in London because London is no longer an English city.

“That’s how they got the Olympics. They said, ‘We’re the most cosmopolitan city on Earth’, but it doesn’t feel English.

“I had a Californian friend come over two months ago, walk down the King’s Road and say to me, ‘Well, where are all the English people?’

“I love having different cultures around but when the parent culture kind of dissipates, you’re left thinking, ‘What’s going on?’ “  Chris Pollard/The Sun

Yep, what IS going on? Where did my nation go? Those are the questions that we will all be asking (many of us already have been asking.)

When we don’t FORCE assimilation, and we promote moral relativism, we are condemning our uniqueness, just as Britain and all of western Europe has done.

Everything from “press 2 for English” to bilingual laundry soap packaging,  examples of the moral relativism  that is creeping into our culture is everywhere.  It’s been slow and insidious but it’s happening.

One day we will no longer be America. Our nation will become a messy, disorganized, malfunctioning form of the UN, with states like Michigan that will be Islamic and states like mine – Arizona – that will be Mexican.  That which made us all Americans, will be gone.

Lloyd Marcus at American Thinker

Folks, I believe human beings are responsible for their behavior.  However, as America’s first black president, fair or unfair, Obama’s presidency comes with enormous responsibility in terms of its influence on black youths.  This is why it is so unfortunate that American black youths’ ultimate role model is a characterless, race-baiting political hack.

While I am not saying president Obama is responsible for the epidemic of black youth flash-mob attacks on whites around our country, his race-baiting has to be a contributing factor.  (Read more)

Lloyd really makes several valid points in this blog.  The only point he didn’t really touch on is the one I’ve mentioned here before and that Maxine (we’ll socialize your oil companies) Waters brought up in Michigan this week: lack of employment for minorities.

The fact that nothing has been done to curb the unemployment rate among Black males, especially young Black males, has had to have had a profound effect on that community. When people are working, young people especially, they have a lot less time to engage in mischief and crime.

I find it really telling too, that when these flash mob videos are shown on television or written about in the media, there is virtually NO mention that these are black kids overrunning and clearing the shelves in stores like 7-11.  It’s as though the media is afraid to admit the obvious – like the emperor has no clothes.

On the one hand the Black community has been totally disaffected by the left’s do-good, nannyism that has destroyed their families for the last 50 years, while at the same time they are marginalized by the highest rate of unemployment and empowered by the first Black president to do whatever they choose to in the name of pay-back for misrepresented racism.

The leadership and example that these children need is not coming from their president – the first place it should be coming from. But it could be coming from the Lloyd Marcus’, Allen Wests, Thomas Sowells of the world, if only these kids would pay attention to the message.

In case you think you have nothing to worry about – now there’s this –

The next time you’re in the mall or on the subway, stay alert. The Jerusalem Post is reporting that our intelligence and security agencies are concerned over the rising Al-Qaeda quest in Yemen for castor beans to make ricin. (I can direct them to the beach at Santa Barbara for castor plants – they grow wild all over the place along the beach there.  Beautiful plants that produce deadly seeds.)

It said the apparent intent was to pack the poison around small explosives that could be exploded to disperse the ricin, a white powdery substance so deadly that a speck can kill if inhaled or taken into the bloodstream.

The [NY] Times said the apparent intent was to detonate the explosives in enclosed spaces like a shopping mall or airport.

I don’t want to ruin your day before it starts but here’s something to give you heartburn before your 2nd cup of coffee:

Jeffery Lord, Gladwell and the American Tipping Point

Last week, on Hannity’s radio show he discussed a recent column by Jeffery Lord/The American Spectator, called  American Tipping Point. In it, Lord discusses Malcolm Gladwell’s book Tipping Point and makes comparisons to America’s tipping points at different times in our history and the rise of conservatism and the Tea Party.

Lord says that:  Thanks to the Tea Party movement, Conservatism is on the verge of a major victory that dwarfs the technical and actual realities of whatever the details of the resulting deficit deal passed last night. Yes, there is a long, long way to go. But the idea that America doesn’t, in fact, have to be governed for eternity as a debtor nation with a mammoth, out-of-control, ever-expanding government is winning the day. It is tipping the balance with increasing decisiveness against an idea that has become so much a part of conventional wisdom that even some conservatives, startlingly including, inexplicably, the Wall Street Journal, have displayed the wobblies at the thought of confronting the Leviathan. The WSJ’s attacks yesterday against Jim DeMint, Michele Bachmann and Sean Hannity, saying “sooner or later the GOP had to give up the hostage” — follows another editorial in which the paper railed against Tea Party members as “hobbits.” The paper, sounding like cranky British Tories in 1775 Boston rather than the bold, forward-looking paper that championed the much-derided ideas of Ronald Reagan, wildly bought into the liberal notion that the Tea Party from Hobbitville is somehow holding the government hostage, instead of the other way around. In fact Big Government liberalism has spent decades holding and trying to hold the average American hostage to all manner of outrageous tax rates, taxes and regulations on everything from capital gains to sex (in Harry Reid’s Nevada) to soda, SUVs and poker.

Lord chronicles the rise of conservatism from Senator Robert Taft’s strident opposition to FDR’s mega New Deal in the 30’s, through William F. Buckley to the great Ronald Reagan to Mark Levin’s landmark best seller and Tea Party bible, Liberty and Tyranny and how all these little, or sometimes large events, are causing a tipping point in American history. He says that conservatism is spreading almost like a virus: in Gladwell’s vocabulary, “connectors” — “people with a particular and rare set of social gifts” who have the ability to “spread” an idea like an epidemic, a Tipping Point is in the works. Henry Regnery, for example, published and made a star of Buckley, who befriended Reagan who inspired Limbaugh, who was befriended by Buckley and placed on the cover of National Review, with Limbaugh in turn aiding Hannity and Levin and Levin’s book inspiring the Tea Party etc., etc.

Reading Lord, once again gave me hope. And reminded me that in Beck’s words, we are not alone. Most of America is conservative to some degree. Most of Americans want to be or remain at least, middle class and we see that vanishing under Obama’s ideology. Most of America finds communism (call it socialism or European socialism but it’s still a form of communism) to be antithetical to the fundamentals of our beliefs and our founding. And most of America will fight it.

I hope they don’t think for a minute that we will forget being called racists, nazis, homophobes, Hobbits and terrorists. We will not. The real revolution will occur on November 6th, 2012 – bloodless, gunless and in a voting booth. They are being fore warned and to disregard the tipping point signs will be at their own peril.

It’s a must-read by Lord and I hope you will take the time to read it.

Did Eric Holder’s ends justify the death of Brian Terry?

Last week, Eric Holder issued subpoenas to go after News Corp. – the parent company of the Wall Street Journal and Fox News. This isn’t news to anyone who reads my blog because you are well read and well educated on current events. Unlike some of the liberals I hear call Rush and Levin, we know what’s going on and we know the actors.

Holder is holder-ing out on Rep. Darrell Issa’s (R – CA) congressional investigation of the Fast and Furious/gun running fiasco.

This is a big story.  There are reports of DOJ attorneys at Fast and Furious meetings with other very upper level ATF guys.  But who’s covering it? Fox. Who is Holder now investigating? Fox. Connect the dots – what’s the message from Holder?

Now it seems to me that Eric Holder knew about this gun running crap and so did Obama. Remember Obama’s words regarding gun regulations, back in March, to Mrs. Jim Brady – “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

And those processes are what? More executive orders, more regulations from unelected regulatory czars and letting guns walk over the border to make a case for more gun regulations.

I’m gonna say it again – This is a big story and the MSM is not covering it – on purpose. They are choosing not to cover this because of definite harm to Holder and probable harm it will do to Obama.

But the ends justify the means to the Marxists in our government. Let no one forget – LET NO ONE FORGET – that the means was the murder of at least one (and possibly another) American law enforcement agent named Brian Terry.

Levin – the left wants it both ways

As Levin said today on his radio show, the Obama Regime is suing Arizona for asking proof of citizenship when arresting individuals, but they are trying to stop Texas from killing a monster because they never asked for proof.

So, I ask these communists, which is it? How do you want it, because you can’t have it both ways.

And who speaks for this little girl who he raped and killed? We have female –  FEMALE – Supreme Court justices who would be screaming for abortion rights but will not speak for this little girl?

Where is the so-called compassion from the left now? They aren’t speaking for the rights of this girl or her family. They are, as they always do, speaking for killers and monsters:  like cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, who I’ve written about before.

It would be nice to see the outrage that has been all over the news over the verdict in the Casey Anthony case, instead all over the news over this. How dare any nation or organization interfere with a sovereign state, within this country? The United Nations are the first to be trashing America for imposing ourselves on other nations but they are not only investigating Arizona for human rights violations (can you believe that?), now trying to tell the state of Texas how to adjudicate and carry out their laws!

We need a president Perry or someone like him who will tell the UN to go to hell and go to hell in a BIG way!

There are 2 little girls who are dead. One who no one will ever be held to account for but another who’s killer has been convicted and sentenced. His sentence was carried out today.

At this man, and anyone who supports him, is where our rage should really be directed.

Krauthammer: middle-aged maybe never work again

From RealClearPolitics.com:

“The problem is at the consumer level, confidence is low and that is because, as you showed, showed we had underemployment with one out of every six Americans. The worst element of that is that among the unemployed, against the American history, more than approaching half, have [been] unemployed for over six months. That is historically unprecedented in the United States. That is a phenomenon that is seen often in Europe, rarely seen here. In 2007 the average time to get a new job was five weeks. It’s now near six months. And that implies a whole segment of the population, the more elderly or the middle-aged who may never get employed again,” Charles Krauthammer said on FOX News this evening.

Obama continues to vote present because he just likes Being There

Obama has not only diminished the nation in the eyes of the world but he’s diminished the office of president in the eyes of the American people.  It’s a shame when Americans have lost all pride in the POTUS and the first family. It’s sad that he’s such a bumbling fool, which reflects on all of us.

From bowing to foreign leaders:

from AmericanThinker.com

to denying American  exceptionalism to escorting the Dalai Lama past the garbage and out of the White House via the back door,

from FrugalCafeBlogZone.com

Obama has weakened our position on the world stage.

So, when the president is selling $5 raffle tickets from his living room in the White House for a dinner with him or Joe Biden, it’s obvious to all that the prestige of the office is in the basement. It’s on par with the sleaziness of selling the Lincoln bedroom.

Let’s hope a dinner with a common American goes better than this one did:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The Obamas are totally out of their element as the First Family of America.

~~~ooOoo~~~
Obama has the Alinsky community organizer job down very well: give the idea and incentive and then delegate so if (or when) it doesn’t work out, he has clean hands. It’s really nothing more than a continuation of voting “present” by just Being There.
Just Being There (in the White House) is all he really wants anyway: the perks and the private concerts with super stars, the private jet and personal chef. Honestly, after reading Michael Barone in the National Review today, I can see why BO wants to be president again. Being There is just so easy.
Which past leader does Barack Obama most closely resemble? His admirers, not all of them liberals, used to compare him to Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt.
[…]
But there is another comparison I think more appropriate for a president who, according to one of his foreign-policy staffers, prefers to “lead from behind.” The man I have in mind is Chauncey Gardiner, the character played by Peter Sellers in the 1979 movie Being There.
Peter Sellers as Chauncey Gardiner in Being There. And many believe that just like Chauncey, Obama walks on water, too.
As you may remember, Gardiner is a clueless gardener who is mistaken for a Washington eminence and becomes a presidential adviser. Asked if you can stimulate growth through temporary incentives, Gardiner says, “As long as the roots are not severed, all is well, and all will be well in the garden.”
“First comes the spring and summer,” he explains, “but then we have fall and winter. And then we get spring and summer again.” The president is awed as Gardiner sums up, “There will be growth in the spring.”
Kind of reminds you of Barack Obama’s approach to the federal budget, doesn’t it?
[…]
On all these issues, Obama seems oddly disengaged, aloof from the hard work of government, hesitant about making choices.
That doesn’t sound like Lincoln. Or Roosevelt. Or even Jimmy Carter. More like “then we have fall and winter.”
