Levin – the left wants it both ways

As Levin said today on his radio show, the Obama Regime is suing Arizona for asking proof of citizenship when arresting individuals, but they are trying to stop Texas from killing a monster because they never asked for proof.

So, I ask these communists, which is it? How do you want it, because you can’t have it both ways.

And who speaks for this little girl who he raped and killed? We have female –  FEMALE – Supreme Court justices who would be screaming for abortion rights but will not speak for this little girl?

Where is the so-called compassion from the left now? They aren’t speaking for the rights of this girl or her family. They are, as they always do, speaking for killers and monsters:  like cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, who I’ve written about before.

It would be nice to see the outrage that has been all over the news over the verdict in the Casey Anthony case, instead all over the news over this. How dare any nation or organization interfere with a sovereign state, within this country? The United Nations are the first to be trashing America for imposing ourselves on other nations but they are not only investigating Arizona for human rights violations (can you believe that?), now trying to tell the state of Texas how to adjudicate and carry out their laws!

We need a president Perry or someone like him who will tell the UN to go to hell and go to hell in a BIG way!

There are 2 little girls who are dead. One who no one will ever be held to account for but another who’s killer has been convicted and sentenced. His sentence was carried out today.

At this man, and anyone who supports him, is where our rage should really be directed.

Some one put Harry in a home

Oh my God, Harry Reid really does appear to be losing his mind.

  • “Republicans don’t want women to have cancer screenings.” Of course Harry, Republicans want to kill everyone, including those women in their own party.
  • “All those folks that wanted to go on vacation, won’t be able to. Yellowstone will be closed.”  You’re right Harry, they can’t afford the GAS!!!!
  • “There is no federal money used for abortions.” Oh really? And who pays the rent and utilities on those Planned Parenthood clinics? Last I knew it was taxpayers.

And that was just as much as I could stand to watch.

It’s hard to believe that anyone buys his bullshit but obviously he won the last election, so someone in Nevada does. And do Americans understand that he is standing before them and telling them that the dems are holding up this bill because they are worried about cancer screenings? Seriously? Does anyone really believe this?

They are holding up this bill to make the Republicans look like the bad guys. Plain and simple. Schumer has said it. Pelosi has said it and Harry has said it – when he’s been in his right mind.  And guess what? It won’t sell and it won’t sell next year. They hold up this bill, that pays our soldiers through the year, they will pay politically for it next year – not the Republicans.

Cowboy poetry? There’s a political ad dying to be made…

Ben Stein on Bloomberg’s life saving endeavors or not

I am endlessly amazed at how backwards we humans get things in our lives. Just let me give you two very basic examples, one of which is a crime against humanity.

I keep reading in the New York Times that Mayor Bloomberg, a billionaire health nut, is on a campaign against having too much salt in foods in New York City restaurants. His belief is that New Yorkers and visitors shorten their life spans by eating too much salt and therefore raising their blood pressure in a dangerous way. If he took control over the salt content in New York restaurants, he could save a few dozen lives per year, he believes.

But, wait a moment. I also read in the New York Times that New York City is one of the abortion capitals of the nation, with a much higher rate of abortion than most other parts of the nation. And Mayor Bloomberg is a great fan of “…a woman’s right to choose…” to abort her baby.

As I calculate it in a rough way, New York City has about 8 million persons living there, or about (very roughly) 3 per cent of the nation’s population. And New York has a much higher abortion rate than the rest of the nation. So it is possible that New Yorkers have about 50,000 abortions per year, or maybe a lot more.

That is 50,000 killings of totally innocent children every year. Does Mayor Bloomberg think that his anti-salt campaign means much compared with that number? If he wants to save lives, why doesn’t he throw his tiny weight and his huge purse behind right to life? That’s a truly life-saving act.

From Ben Stein/The American Spectator

Isn’t there some noise out there that this idiot Bloomberg is thinking of a presidential run in ’12? He wouldn’t stand a chance so he needs to forget that idea. Lord knows that he has nothing of importance in New York to worry about so he’s down here in Arizona investigating us!

And some more good stuff I read this morning:

Daniel Halper writes in today’s Weekly Standard that Rep. Peter King (R-NY) is refusing to expand his investigative committee to include neo-Nazi and other extremist organizations in America because he believes that al Qaeda presents the clearest and most dangerous threat to national security.  According to King: “Pursuant to our mandate, the Committee will continue to examine the threat of Islamic radicalization, and I will not allow political correctness to obscure a real and dangerous threat to the safety and security of the citizens of the United States.”

samiam60 has a great blog including Robin of Berkeley (from American Thinker) on why so many liberals hate Sarah Palin.

Bob Mack has a touching blog from last night about the poor – no pathetic – medical care our vets are receiving.

Victor Davis Hanson at Pajamas Media writes on the consequences of the Egpytian chaos : “I think unfortunately we may go the 1940s “we can work with Mao”/1970s “no inordinate fear of communism”/2000s “jihad can mean a personal struggle” route, where liberals believe that totalitarian nationalists somehow admire the American Revolution and our lack of a colonial heritage, and, as closet moderates, wish to work with us. That translates into a backdoor courtship with the Muslim Brotherhood…”

The most evil: Kermit Gosnell and health departments in PA

Kermit Gosnell, abortion butcher

This man is despicable. But more despicable is the non-existent oversight in Pennsylvania, the lack of protection for women and babies in this state. If I hear another politician say that he is in favor of safe and rare abortions, I’m gonna puke. No one, at least in Pennsylvania, really cares about ‘safe and rare’ or the best health care for women and babies. If they did, this clinic would have been closed long – LONG – ago.

If this is not proof that the liberals do not care about minorities and especially in this case, minority women, nothing does. This ‘doctor’ and I use the word loosely, preyed on the most poor, frightened and ignorant among us. He took their money and took no concern in their health, welfare or even their lives.  He delivered viable babies and killed them.

And all this under the noses of physicians in positions to stop this, state medical boards that apparently wanted to protect the rights of doctors, health departments who could have shut him down but ignored complaints, politicians who gave lipservice to protecting the rights of women to choose.

Did those poor, frightened women have any idea what they were choosing? Did they know that their unwanted, unborn babies would have their spinal cords snipped and their babies body parts preserved in pickle jars and milk cartons, decorating his office and stored in his office refrigerator?

Oh, I think not.

And to add insult to injury, Gossnel was preforming abortions after the legal gestational age. (24 weeks is the limit, after that abortions are criminal in the state of Pennsylvania.)

Did these women know that they would leave his office with venereal disease, perforated organs and raging infections? Did they know that they would leave his office sterile?

Was it worth the $400 cash and late night abortions, for all this?

There should be no doubt what the answer is.

Where in all of this is NOW? Not a word from them – AGAIN – about something that threatens the health, welfare and life of women, especially minority women who they brag so loudly that they champion and protect.

There is no justice for a man like this. But he is not alone in guilt. The entire liberal system should be held to account for this. The evidence is clear: he is a murderer and the system is just as culpable. There is no concern by the liberals for the welfare of the poor, there never has been. Pennsylvania was run by pro-abortion politicians for decades.  Their excuse to not securing and protecting the health and safety of the female patients was their concern that they would be erecting barriers to their almighty right to choice! These progressives have protected and by silence, encouraged the very thing they profess to want to eradicate: back alley, midnight abortions and abortion butchers.

I call BullShit on all of that! They care nothing for those most vulnerable patients – the women and the unborn babies. What they do care about is the votes they will get from those mostly minority communities.

In the end, it’s all about the votes, even if it means you have to lie to minorities to get them.

Loosing our rights and freedom of choice

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of a what a particular group thinks it ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.  Milton Friedman

And this is the problem in our country now. We have a ruling class that thinks we “ought to want” toxic, curly fry light bulbs, for instance. (I wish I’d thought of that mercury light bulb description first, but credit goes to Mark Steyn.)  How dare we want to buy what we want? How could we possibly know what’s best for us or what we can afford or what we want to afford? We aren’t smart enough to choose for ourselves. All options are taken away for the greater good, because they know what the greater good is. Only they know what’s best for you and me.

They are attempting to take away our freedom of choice – unless it’s the life of an unborn baby, and then everyone has that right to choose death over life. Isn’t it amazing how important choice is to these statists until it comes to the type of shower head in your bathroom or the kind of car you drive?

It’s nothing more than a total disdain for everyone’s freedom but their own. And the only individuals they respect are themselves.

Obama on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade

From Obama’s remarks regarding Roe v. Wade:

Today marks the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that protects women’s health and reproductive freedom, and affirms a fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters.

So what do you call ObamaCare, then if it’s not an intrusion in the private and very PERSONAL matters of an individual and his family?

I am committed to protecting this constitutional right. I also remain committed to policies, initiatives, and programs that help prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant women and mothers, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption.

His support is through Planned Parenthood which are nothing more than government funded abortion clinics that are aimed at minorities, especially Black Americans. Employees at these facilities are on tape saying as much. This is government sanctioned genocide, primarily against the Black community.

And there is no constitutional right to an abortion, just as there is no constitutional right to force any American to buy anything, including health insurance.

And on this anniversary, I hope that we will recommit ourselves more broadly to ensuring that our daughters have the same rights, the same freedoms, and the same opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.

What he’s saying is that the “burden” of unwanted pregnancies and abortion falls squarely on the woman and men are off the hook. He’s on record as saying that he didn’t want his “daughters punished” with an unintended and unwanted baby. But there is no “punishment” for the father, no burden for him. He can go his merry way and “fulfill his dreams” while the mother is left to the decision of abortion or the “burden” of caring for a child and her dreams are lost. Her future is bleak, that of being an single parent.

The burden of single parenthood is shouldered by the mother and the taxpayers with little or no consequences for the father. I see nothing in his statement – aside from “encouraging healthy relationships” and how he plans to do that from the WH is a mystery to me – that promotes the responsibility of fathers in this matter. On the contrary in fact, by this part of his statement: same opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.

Jackson says repealing Obama Care is “creeping genocide”

from HotAir.com

Is that anything like what Planned Parenthood has been doing to the Black community for decades, Rev. Jackson?

It’s beginning: the first Catholic hospitals for sale due to ObamaCare

This is a story that will be ignored by the msm because it will require a little digging and the need to ask some hard questions. But I can promise that when David Limbaugh writes his second volume of “Crimes Against Liberty” it will be heavily covered.

In a nutshell, 3 Catholic hospitals are for sale and will be closing in VP Biden’s hometown – Scranton, PA – all because of ObamaCare. The CEO of these hospitals was apparently strong armed by Obama operatives, behind the scenes, to walk back his original statement that ObamaCare “absolutely” was a major cause for these closures and sales.

Arm twisting by this regime is not a new thing:

As listed by the Wall Street Journal, those unintended consequences [of the passage of ObamaCare] included 2011 premium increases shooting up as high as 9%; “multibillion-dollar corporate writedowns by Verizon, AT&T, Caterpillar and others”; the disruption of insurance markets, a show-down with McDonald’s, the imposition of price controls on premiums, insurers withdrawing from Medicare Advantage.

In what appears to have become a pattern, the response from the Obama Administration has been repeatedly swift and harsh — compared by one critic as an episode straight out of the Sopranos, the famous HBO mobster series.

Henry Waxman, at first demanded that there be a congressional hearing in an attempt to intimidate these big businesses. But then he was informed that “hey, they were actually abiding by the law” when they informed their employees and insured of what was in store for them thanks to the new health care bill. Pigface Waxman had to back off and crawl back under his rock.

In Scranton “a town that is heavily Catholic, the realization that three hospitals that did not perform abortions could be sold to owners who would allow the procedure is infuriating.”

The abortion allowance in ObamaCare is tantamount to why these closures are happening. You will read this story and the flimsy change of heart by Joe Sestak (the one hold out on the ObamaCare vote because of his so-called pro-life position) will become clear. Sestak and other Catholics, including Sister Carol, have sold out to the Obama administration.

Liberals – give them enough rope and they will always hang themselves

Case in point: In the current defense bill,  it’s not enough that they are trying to confer amnesty on illegal minors (the DREAM Act), and to do away with the “Don’t ask – Don’t tell” but now Roland Burris (R-Ill) wants to allow abortion on demand at all military hospitals overseas.

The Burris proposal would undo restrictions put in place by congressional Republicans during the Clinton administration. That policy restricted abortions at military hospitals to cases of rape, incest or when the woman’s life is threatened.

Sometimes I think that we really don’t have to do anything but sit back, wait long enough and then watch these liberals blow themselves up.

Obama keeps poking his finger in the same old eyes

(Pardon me- without my glasses on, I make typos.)

So now he’s going to be speaking at Xavier University in New Orleans – another Catholic univeristy.

Let’s recall his previous speeches at Catholic schools:

Notre Dame. His speech about abortion and stem cell research that goes completely contrary to Catholic teaching.

Georgetown. He had the school cover up the Crucifix that would have been behind him while he spoke.

What do you suppose he will do to offend Catholics when he speaks at Xavier?

Some Catholics don’t agree with the fact that the president is being allowed to speak at Xavier University, a Catholic institution, because it is giving a platform to someone who is very publicly opposed to the teachings of the Catholic church.

They argue that his positions on issues of life — abortion and stem cell research specifically — means that he should not be given the chance to speak so openly at a Catholic university.

It all goes back to a 2004 United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) statement on “Catholics in Political Life.” It reads in part, “The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.”

[. . .]

New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond will not be attending Obama’s speech at Xavier and has no plans to meet with the president.

“He was not in any way consulted, invited — nor will he attend the event with President Obama at Xavier,” said Sarah McDonald, Director of Communications for Archdiocese of New Orleans.

But this kind of eye poking by Obama isn’t new. It’s a continuing pattern. Remember, he not once but twice encouraged Americans to spend their vacation dollars anywhere but in Las Vegas. That ended up costing the city and it’s union members, millions of dollars in lost revenue.
