Where did these 1 in 6 hungry Americans come from?

If you’ve been listening to talk radio or buying cereal or even surfing the web, you’ve been told about this: 1 in 6 Americans are going hungry and then they make a pitch for restocking food banks in your community.

Don’t get me wrong. I have no problem restocking food banks. In fact, I’m all in favor of doing that. Donating is what makes Americans great. We donate more than any other nation in the world.

But does anyone wonder where these 1-in-6 starving Americans are coming from? Why now, all of a sudden, do we have Al Roker on the radio telling us to donate because “1 in 6 Americans are going hungry every day”?

I think this is all due to TheOne’s policies, or lack of them. Next year he’s going to pull out over 34,000 troops from Afghanistan and wherever else they are in the Middle East. They will be coming home to no jobs and add to the unemployment lines. Next month, if the sequester goes through, tens of thousands of military will be unemployed. He has paid NO attention to the lack of jobs in this country and despite the gazillion times he said “I’m focusing like a laser beam on creating jobs,” nothing has changed. And nothing will change in the next 4 years.

There are more unemployed black Americans and women than before he took office. But tonight he’s going to focus “like a laser” on controlling our guns and amnesty and very little, if anything, will be said about job creation. He’s given lip service to jobs for 5 years now and nothing but change for the worse has happened.

You employ people, you create a larger tax base. Why is that so hard for Marxists to understand?
