My Monday Night Mish-Mash

Instead of paying attention to his own knittin’ – which is the felonious Fast and Furious mess – Holder is going to sue yet one more state over immigration laws.

He contends that only the feds can decide immigration laws. Okay. Then freakin’ do it and apply those laws!!! But the problem is that they aren’t going to do decide what the law is  and they are  not going to enforce the laws.  Therefore, we have states taking care of themselves.

When the federal government will not enforce the law and in essence, are not protecting the citizenry, the states need to do so.  It’s that simple.

Great op-ed in the Washington Times today by Joseph Curl about the still angry, Michelle Obama. Some first ladies hold a special place in our hearts: Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, even Jackie Kennedy. But Michelle Obama will never have a special place in mine.  I won’t ever be able to forget that she was only proud of her country once in her lifetime.

In an effort to keep what happens in Zuccotti park a secret, another alleged rape has occurred. They really hate the bad press because it continues to undermine their “we’re just like the Tea Party” meme.  But with over 1000 arrests, they will never be “just like the Tea Party.” Sorry folks but you fail.

A sex fiend barged into a woman’s tent and sexually assaulted her at around 6 a.m., said protesters, who chased him from the park.

“Pervert! Pervert! Get the f–k out!” said vigilante Occupiers, who never bothered to call the cops.

“They were shining flashlights in his face and yelling at him to leave,” said a woman who called herself Leslie, but refused to give her real name.

She said that weeks earlier another woman was raped.

“We don’t tell anyone,” she said. “We handle it internally. I said too much already.”

Quote of the Day – Obama

“We live in a democracy, and at the end of the day, I can’t do this all by myself under our democratic system,” [Obama] said.

Yes, it’s a cryin’ shame, isn’t it,  that he’s just the president and not a dictator… yet.

The OWS commies call for nationwide strike – November 2nd

These  guys are a riot!  A nationwide strike.  Incredible.

Be sure and read the comments below the short article. They are terrific!

What happens here – stays here. No snitchin’.

There’s dissension in the cooking ranks and it sounds like some unreported crimes taking place in the NYC Wall St. squatters “community.”

In an attempt to control the negative PR coming out of these “demonstrations”, they are keeping questionable activities quiet and the cooks are revolting against having to feed “professional homeless and derelicts.”

Where are all those compassionate hearts on the left?

Ha!

The most telling quote of the day – TheOne

“Sometimes I think people forget how much has gotten done,” the president said as he urged his backers to rally once again, at the same time joking, as he often does, that he is older and grayer now. “This election won’t be as sexy as the first one.”

What a conceited, narcissist in charge!

A pair of capitalists capitalizing on the OWS brand

This is a really interesting story. LOL

How do you suppose these Wall St squatters feel about someone making a buck off their “demonstrations”? They hate capitalists and here we have 2 ingenious entrepreneurs who are going to profit off of their brand in the form of tote bags, mugs and bumper stickers.

I find this hugely ironic… and very funny! Wish I’d have thought of it!

A different take on an old theme

Where have we gone so wrong?

“It pains me to think that at a school that emphasizes thinking globally we would institute something that makes our children think that this country alone is where their allegiance lies,” said [Haley] Sides. “This has no educational value for young children. Absolutely none.”

This quote is from an AF vet. She is distressed that the pledge is being said daily in her daughter’s public school, as per state law. I have 2 questions: why does this bother people so much and where have we gone wrong as a nation?

At my daughter’s school (where she teaches 2nd grade) they say the pledge every morning.  She teaches in a school that has a large Mexican-American population and she teaches ELL (English language learners.)  These parents have chosen to make America their new home and to raise their children here.

Haley Sides, apparently wants her daughter to be a citizen of the world and not of America. If that’s the case then she and her daughter need to renounce their citizenship to the United States and find a new homeland.

The pledge in school should not be an issue.
