I never believed I would see this in America but here it is. Right now, I’m so dumbfounded, I can’t possibly post. This is about my children. How can this be possible? And NO PRESS??? NO MEDIA coverage of this??? What kind of country has this become?
Thanks to Charlie Rangel for this.

Roxy, the weasels in our government are on a power grab rolling just as fast and unabated as possible. There isn’t one thing, not one facet of American life that is not controlled now by the federal government. Nothing. Your kids aren’t even your own anymore.

I sent this to my brother who is a socialist. He came back with this long missive about how we should all shoulder the burden of war and assist our soldiers – wounded or not – and our communities… yadda yadda yadda. Like I don’t already agree with this – to a point. What he was trying to do was make me feel and look Un-American by not supporting our troops and not being willing to sacrifice my kids to this kind of cause.
If my kids choose to join the Marines (or whatever service) that is fine. But it is a CHOICE. It is not mandatory. I will support whatever my kids choose to do just as I support our troops to the hilt.
But no one is going to force my kids to join the Peace Corps (as my brother did) or Vista or Americorp. No one. If they choose to join, that’s up to them. No one is going to force my kids into some kind of domestic government service on the word of THIS president that we are in some kind of crisis or emergency.
My brother is a chump, even if I do love him.
