99 days left; the hour is getting late.

We are out of the triple digits now and election day is coming up soon. Although I don’t view myself or those who believe like I do, as thieves, I do think that the thief in this poem speaks sensibly to us at this time in our history. In fact, he shows that there is ‘honor among thieves’ when he admonishes his partner to not speak falsely.

While many of us feel that our country and all hope is lost, I want to offer up a  little poetic inspiration from a very unusual source:

“There must be some way out of here” said the joker to the thief
“There’s too much confusion”, I can’t get no relief

“No reason to get excited”, the thief he kindly spoke
“There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke
But you and I, we’ve been through that, and this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late“.
