Censorship, like charity, should begin at home, but unlike charity, it should end there. Clare Booth Luce
If you watched Glenn Beck today, you are informed on what the Obama regime (I’m going to be Limbaugh’s standard barer from now on) is planning for the internet and then talk radio. I think we have reason to be worried. This regime is coming at us from all sides with well managed assaults. He has the correct people in many places and they are coming after us from all directions.
I can’t imagine a more lethal attack on Americans than to restrict and censor speech. And I cannot imagine that Americans will allow this to happen. Nothing is more fundamentally American than “it’s a free country and I can say whatever I want.” My God, we were saying that as kids. And now we have a regime that is about ready to remove that unalienable, God given right.
How will Americans react to this?

Well, like you said, the voters common sense will prevail because those in congress seem to have none.

And as shown by that stupid Rep Phil Hare, they don’t EVEN know the Constitution. There he sat, quoting the Declaration of Independence like he knew what he was talking about!

Maybe before you run for office, you might want to get to know the Constitution. Maybe if we taught it in school, people would know it.

We are seeing the results of the public school system we have been paying for, for years.
This man is pulling down $174,000.00 a year and is stupid enough to make a statement like that on camera.
At some point, I don’t blame him, I blame the idiots that elected him.
I have no idea what district he comes from,… at this point, why would it matter ?

These Regressive liberals care nothing for the Constitution.
April 6th, 2010 at 8:34 AM
This is proof positive that even I could be in congress. These guys are no smarter than I am… maybe less.
April 6th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
There definitely needs to be a test to run for office.

Your a Conservative… That means you have a brain and use it. 🙂
April 6th, 2010 at 9:32 AM
Or like all of us conservatives, if we don’t know it, we find out or read about it! We teach ourselves what we don’t know!
April 6th, 2010 at 1:07 PM
And question everything we hear.

At this point a college education becomes moot.
Common Sense will always come into play eventually.
If it doesn’t infect the members of congress, pretty soon, we the people will vote them back to where they belong.
I believe it was Thomas Paine that sad, “never vote a rod against yourself”.
What he was saying was congress should never vote laws into effect that would hurt them.
Obviously, with the lack of term limits, and the possibility of spending a lifetime in congress, they are immune to the private sector laws we have to abide by.
Back to my common sense.
Common sense stipulates that you try to refrain from making the same mistake over and over and over again.
I can only hope that common sense will prevail in the 2010 election.
