Scozzafava backs out: A major turning point for the Conservative movement?
This news is a huge game changer. Does anyone really believe she left this race because she was obviously losing? Here’s the telling sentence:
The RNC told her to back out. They can tell which way the wind is blowing and thank God they’ve gotten smart this soon. With the endorsements of heavyweights like Sarah Palin and others, the party realizes that the conservative movement and the teaparty-ers, have taken over the party and if they want to win next November, they’d better get on board and go along early. Otherwise this could be a bloodbath or a major break from within the party. Michael Steele does not want to see that happen and to be honest, most conservatives don’t want to see the destruction of the party, either. Most thinking people understand that a third party is almost assuredly a losing party and nothing more than a spoiler for the truly not wanted candidate.
Just as with healthcare, Republicans believe that you can fix and perfect a system without totally destroying it. Destruction is the marxist way of doing things. The Republican party can remain intact as the party faithful begin the job of redirecting and refocusing its purposes. If nothing else has been proven over the course of this summer, people – average people – found they didn’t need one voice to lead them. They found their own voice and with that they found their own power to effect change. Thanks to these hard-working real Americans, (as opposed to the career politicians and political handlers) serious changes did occur and will continue to as we enter the extremely important 2010 elections.
“I am a Republican, but first and foremost, I’m a Conservative.”
As shown by the man at the end of this video, we are the most informed and educated party in this nation’s recent history. With knowledge comes power. With knowledge comes fear, too. We’re afraid and it’s made us take action. People who never held a picket sign or even considered running for office have come out in droves. We will not be stopped or patronized any longer.
These are exciting times. Beginning this summer, we have seen an authentic revolution evolving in this country, basically ignored and then denigrated by the left and the LameStreamMedia, which in turn fueled it even further.
Try to marginalize us. We get louder and bigger.

Johnston is a self-made jackass
Levi Johnston is trash because he’s behaving like a combination of Kato Kaelin and Joey Buttafuoco. This is a guy who’s trying to make a living by hurting the family of the woman he had a child with. What does that say about Levi Johnston?
Levi Johnston is trash, plain and simple
by John Hawkins
If Sarah Palin had been a Democrat, no show more credible than Jerry Springer’s would be giving Levi Johnston a chance to spread scurrilous gossip about her.
Why would they? Levi Johnston is a 19-year-old high school dropout whose mother is in jail for selling Oxycontin. Johnston’s sister Mercede? She got her pockets filled by the trashy Star magazine to talk about the Palin family. Read that description of the Johnston family and you tell me if you’d trust any of them to so much as mind the till at your child’s lemonade stand for five minutes.
Setting that aside, Levi Johnston isn’t Sarah Palin’s friend, her husband, her business partner, her adviser, or even a staffer. To the contrary, he’s a 19-year-old kid who got to spend a little time around the family and their daughter. Do you really think Sarah Palin is spilling her deepest, darkest secrets in front of Levi? Do you think she’d talk about divorcing her husband in front of him? Do you think she’d call her son a “retard” in his presence? Common sense says “no.”
Of course, anything’s possible and common sense isn’t always common. But if someone’s lying, who do you think it’s more likely to be? The woman who knowingly chose to have and raise a child with Down syndrome or the kid who parlayed being the source of malicious gossip about Sarah Palin into a pistachio commercial? Who’s lying? A woman who made a reputation for herself fighting corruption in politics or a kid who now refers to himself as Ricky Hollywood?
Perhaps Levi Johnston hasn’t thought through the long-term ramifications of his actions. He probably didn’t get much of a moral education from his drug-dealing mother and there isn’t much of an indication that he’s bright. Have you seen his Twitter feed? Twitter isn’t exactly an intellectual medium, but read some of these tweets from the last 72 hours and ask yourself if Levi Johnston is smart enough to fully understand how he’s being used:
i FEEL LIKE I’M IN A RAP VIDEO EVERYTIME I COME HERE.. !! WHATS THE DEAL WITH THE TAXI DRIVERS NOT SPEAKING ENGLISH IS IT A LAW AGAINST IT?
Is it true that NYC doesn’t have a drinking law .. !!! you can buy alcohol any time , all day all night ??? SWEEEETTTTTTTTT
You ever feel like doing everything in a city you visit but always end up not doing sh*t , just watching TV at the hotel & eating out !
Would you show your WANG for $35,000 ?
Levi Johnston is not trash because of those tweets. He’s not trash because of the family he was born into. He’s not trash because he’s a high school dropout and not the brightest guy in the world. He’s not even trash because he doesn’t like Sarah Palin. Not everybody likes her. It doesn’t make them bad people.
Levi Johnston is trash because he’s behaving like a combination of Kato Kaelin and Joey Buttafuoco. This is a guy who’s trying to make a living by hurting the family of the woman he had a child with. What does that say about Levi Johnston?
What does his lack of regard for his own son say about him? He’s utterly poisoned his relationship with the mother of his child and her family. He’s in talks to do full frontal nudity for Playgirl. In another few years, when Bristol and Levi’s son Tripp is in school, is he going to have someone thrusting pictures from Levi’s Playgirl spread in his face? Is Tripp going to be proud of the way his father earned his 15 minutes of fame? A “man” like Levi Johnston who sees nothing wrong with putting his own child through that for his own tawdry self-aggrandizement doesn’t deserve to truly be referred to as a man.
So Levi can try to make a career out of spreading lies about the grandmother of his child if he likes. There’s very little anyone can do to stop him since it’s a he-said/she-said situation. Some people will even believe him. Malevolent sociopaths like Johnston often manage to fool people — at least for a little while. So let him mouth off about his huge secret on CBS. He’s probably talking with his agent right now trying to figure out what it is and the biggest media outlet he can get to cover it. That’s what snakes like Johnston do when they get a chance.
The people who really deserve to be ashamed are the people who know better. Those are the people in the media who figure Johnston is a liar, don’t have any more respect for him than they do for something they scraped off their shoe, and yet still give him an outlet to peddle his fabrications because they hate Sarah Palin. Levi Johnston may be trash, but it’s the people who are spreading that garbage everywhere as if it’s credible who should retch every time they look at their own faces in the mirror.
Quote of the day – Dennis Miller
The waiting room outside Dr. Obama’s Snake Oil Emporium is populated by the likes of General McChrystal, the Dalai Lama and Fox News, meanwhile Kadaffi, Chavez and Aqua-velvajad are walking around backstage with All-Access laminates. Not since Lana Turner hooked up with Johnny Stompanato has a great star exhibited such poor taste in men.
Why do these people believe we care what they think?
Forgive me for this but why can’t these people just do what they do best and keep their politics the themselves?
I love Sting and seeing him in concert, with my kids, was a HUGE deal for me. Especially because it happened on the weekend after I found out I had a brain tumor. It was waaaaaaay cool to hear him sing Roxanne (my name)!
And then he comes along and says this stupid shit.
Liz Peek: Who’s pulling Obama’s stings?
As the public starts to question how much time the president is spending on fund-raisers (26 events since taking office compared to only 6 for G.W. during the same term in office) or on his golf (24 rounds so far– tying G.W.’s entire presidency), they may also ponder who’s doing the real work when the president goes AWOL.
Obama fans are in a tight spot. As the White House turns ever harsher and more divisive, supporters are scrambling to explain why President Obama sounds so very different from Campaigner Obama. There are two possible explanations, neither of which is flattering. The first is that Obama was insincere on the campaign trail. The second is that his advisors – David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel — are in control. The latter view is bound to take hold and it will not boost the president’s flagging popularity ratings.
Many who voted for President Obama feel deceived. When he said in Florida last year “we cannot afford the same political games and tactics that are being used to pit us against one another,” people believed him. When he extolled “rejecting fear and division for unity of purpose,” people believed him. When he said on election night “I will listen to you, especially when we disagree,” people believed him.
Why has the president left those admirable promises behind? Why is his administration going after Fox News, the Chamber of Commerce, insurance executives, AIG management, the drug industry, the Chrysler bondholders and any and all who oppose his policies?
Many believe that Obama is being manipulated by his political adviser David Axelrod and his Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. The aura of Chicago politics drifts over the capital like a smog. Ironically, the nasty assaults may be calculated to offset a growing view that the president is not tough enough to stand up to his detractors. He already looks weak as he “dithers” on Afghanistan, repeatedly blames George Bush for his problems and kow-tows to foreign leaders while apologizing for our nation’s past. Surely, though, it will not help Obama if the country begins to suspect the president is not his own man. Being seen as a follower in his own White House will surely magnify an unhealthy aura of inconsequence.
In other words, Obama risks inheriting yet another problem left behind by President George W. Bush. — For years, those on the left portrayed Bush as the willing puppet of political advisor Karl Rove and Vice President Dick Cheney. The image of Rove and Cheney directing traffic for an inadequate president was one of the most enduring of Bush’s presidency. Their power undermined Bush’s authority and worse, made him look simple.
Nothing could be more damaging for Obama, who is assumed by his fans to be an intellectual giant when compared to George W.
For a host of reasons, the narrative will build. A March piece in The New York Times described the Wednesday Night Meetings of the Obama varsity conducted by David Axelrod. The piece asserted that Axelrod “helps decide which fights to pick and which to avoid, making him a leading voice in setting the political tone in Washington.” The Times reported that Axelrod had “hoped to keep (the meetings) under wraps so he would not suddenly be overrun by requests from people hoping to dispense advice.” Perhaps his political antennae also anticipated that he would begin to emerge as Geppetto to Obama’s Pinocchio.
Similarly, The Times has described Emanuel as “more chief than staff” and the author of Obama’s “do-everything-at-once strategy”. With his Rottweiler reputation, he is thought especially responsible for the increasingly belligerent White House sound bites.
Those who see history repeating itself can draw parallels between Axelrod and Karl Rove. Like Rove, Axelrod worked on numerous political campaigns and dreamed of someday landing in the White House. He was involved in the campaigns of John Edwards, Senator Chris Dodd and Representative Rahm Emanuel and, like Rove, is well known on Capitol Hill. Both men are driven by ideology as well as the urge to win. Similarly, both Cheney and Emanuel served in Congress, occupied important positions in former White Houses and have sizeable rolodexes.
A 2001 Time magazine article described Rove as “the busiest man in the White House… It was Rove who shaped the agenda, message and strategy that got Bush – the least experienced presidential nominee of modern times – into the White House.” They might want to reprise that story; Obama’s credentials set new records.

My God – it’s a nightmare!!!!
HE’S ON TV AGAIN!!!!!! EVERY SINGLE STINKING DAY!!!!!!
Someone tell him that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! We are sick of seeing him!
okay… rant over.
Just another photo-op
Obama’s response to “He’s golfing while our soldiers die”…
I wonder who was in charge of teaching him the correct way to salute? This must be killing his marxist sensibilities – having to salute and pay phoney homage to our fallen heros.
What a phoney! He disgusts me!
