Blogger calls fellow Americans hideous and atrocious

An FYI from my About page: I’m not interested in arguing because it will be a rare event that my mind will be changed and it’s even more rare that I will change yours.

The following post reply by Mr. Degan was in response to my Mark Levin blog but rather than have it buried there where it might not be read or noticed, I’m making it a blog of it’s own so that everyone who reads here won’t miss his opinions. Since he took the time to read and post at a conservative blog when he is obviously not conservative, I want to make sure that his views get the attention they deserve.

For myself, I don’t read liberal blogs. I get all the liberal views I need from MSM. But I want to thank Mr. Degan for his reply:

The right wing is positively giddy that the United States will not be hosting the Olympics. Seriously, has it dawned on you yet how utterly despicable these people are? I was just wonderin’.

The main goal of the GOP these days is to insure that President Obama’s administration is a complete and utter failure. They want to see as many Americans as possible suffer in the next three years, thus, ensuring that they will be able to seize control of the executive branch in 2013. If the president succeeds in making life better for his countrymen and women, they fail. It’s as simple as that. Mitch McConnell, to his credit, always looks quite uncomfortable when he is forced to justify policies as atrocious as those being put forward these days by that hideous party. But Cantor always has a serene, angelic smile on his face whenever he is forced to defend the morally indefensible – sort of like last week, at a Town Hall meeting when he told a woman whose mortally ill relative had been left bankrupt by her medical bills that she should rely on charity. He seemed so content with himself. Quite strange really.

From Mr. Degan: “The right wing is positively giddy that the United States will not be hosting the Olympics.”

You’re kidding, right? Do you live in a fringe media cave?

Truth be told, 84 percent of CHIGAGOANS (many of whom are left-wingers) are positively relieved that they are not having to foot the bloated, corruption-ridden event’s multi-billion-dollar bill like so many other Olympic cities have had to do over the decades. I believe most of the people are not being “giddy” but thankful to their cores that this spendaholic circus will not be coming to the Windy City to further bankrupt the struggling city.

Hypocritical how Mr. Degan leaves out mentioning all the protests that were going on over the past few months in Chicago about the Olympics, most notably the huge one held last week at City Hall.

Not wanting the government to further rape its citizens financially is not partisan, but survival. And American… smaller government and less taxation was the fundamental base established by our founding fathers in the Constitution. Protesting against government tyranny is patriotic and wise.

However, most left-wing extremists are usually too lazy or dense to bother with facts and details. To them, it’s just “the politics” of the left or right. Beyond that, they stammer and sputter.

Japan just finished paying off its gargantuan Olympics bill… that was incurred during the 1970s. I’m glad Chicago won’t be subjected to such a burden. And frankly, South America hasn’t had an Olympics EVER… so to Rio, I say “congrats,” but watch those billions. Corrupt politicians have a way of siphoning off so much into their own pockets during these games.

Sing it sister!!! LOL you say it really well!

And you’re right, they are either too lazy or too dense or fall back on the name calling and unflattering adjectives rather than make an informed point.

You know Steve, I couldn’t give a shit whether Chicago got the Olympics or not. What I was bothered with and what this liberal poster avoided discussing was the cost of this little trip to Copenhagen and the facts that Obama, 1. ignored the murder of this poor child in his hometown and 2. that he has ignored his general and this “good war” in Afghanistan.
That trip to Denmark, with his and her jets and his and her staff (numbering in the 100′s) and a cargo plane for his limo was NOT CHEAP!
He has made no public comment regarding Derrion Albert’s murder but he was real quick to jump into the Gates-Crowley thing, where he was totally wrong and had no business.
But this liberal poster chose to ignore all that and just attack conservatives, calling us atrocious and hideous.
    Typical and predictable.

Great post. It is rare that a liberal blogger would pay much attention to a blogger of a conservative point of view. Generally, you get the kinds of comments such as you pointed out. Here’s a blog post from a very liberal blogger I picked at random, but is indicative of the mind set of those on the far left:

Conservatives are actually happy that the U.S. lost out on its bid to win the Olympic games. We’ve seen it in a lot of the right-wing blogs out there and now this:

During the Americans For Prosperity’s “Defending the American Dream Summit,” blogger Emily Marie Zanotti of American Princess interrupted a discussion about engaging the right online to announce that Chicago was out of the running — and the room erupted in applause.

“If anyone cares, Chicago is out,” Zanotti said. When the crowd asked what happened, she said, “The very first vote, they did not have any chance at even negotiating. They were out on the first vote.” That news was met with more cheers and high-fives.

How anti-American is that. Many right-wingers would actually like to see our country attacked again if it would improve their chances of Republicans regaining power. Republicans have caused far more damage to our country than any terrorists could dream of causing.
